Divine Appointment

January 8, 2019

The following testimony was posted on Face Book yesterday by Beth and Wesley Walker, Trainers and Event Leaders with SOS Events Ministry in Alabama. They use the “3 Things God Can Not Do” tracts and simple plan of salvation in their everyday lives and this is the result:

Praising God and the angels are singing!!!! Thank you Lord for divine appointments!!!! Sitting in Walmart waiting on oil change when God brought a sweet young lady in to sit beside Wesley. Conversation started and a tract was shared and ended with her praying to accept Jesus Christ as her Savior. Yes it’s that simple!! God will provide the lost to be right where he has his servants ready to share the Gospel. Please pray for Nicole as she starts her new life as a new creation!!!!

Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

First Souls in 2019

January 3, 2019

Yesterday at the Plant City, Florida Flea Market 15 people accepted Jesus as their Savior. What a great start to the New Year. SOS Events is looking for new events, new Leaders and Trainers, new volunteers and the most important new souls to be saved. What a wonderful opportunity to begin the new year, with a desire to see souls come to Christ. If you have not been involved with soul winning, now is the time. If you need help to get started contact SOS Events via web, email or phone. Info@sosevents.org is the email, 813-494-7512 phone or fill out the contact form on the website.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Past and Future

December 31, 2018

New Years Eve 2018…Time to reflect on the year that is ending and look to the New Year ahead. Joys, sorrow, memories and lessons learned in 2018 are now behind. Tomorrow starts a New Year. Time to look forward. It is a good idea to set some goals. Lose weight, do a better job at work, get better grades in school, witness more, help others. Whatever your resolution, keep it. Many of us make resolutions or goals and by January 10th they are already forgotten. The only way to keep our resolutions is to ask Jesus for help and look to Him as our example.

The goal for SOS Events Ministry in 2019 is to win more people to Jesus, get more events in new areas, train more Christians to work at events and Serve Our Savior faithfully. You can help by praying, giving or volunteering. Let us make 2019 the best year ever.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Christmas is Past

December 30, 2018

Christmas is over, time to take down the beautiful decorations and keeping in our hearts the memories of Christmas 2018. It always makes me sad to put away those wonderful things that make Christmas special every year. As we put away the lights, tree, nativity sets, let us not put away the truth of Christmas, Jesus was born into this world to be our Savior, and it is our responsibility to tell others. So let us make a resolution to be better witnesses in 2019, and Serve Our Savior with more zeal than we ever had before.

Acts 26:22-23 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.:

Conversation

November 28, 2018

We talk about things like the weather, politics and even religion with friends, neighbors and perfect strangers. Conversations that are really not important in view of eternity. What is important is turning those conversations into witnessing so that they will hear the gospel and have an opportunity to go to Heaven. SOS Events has a simple way to turn any conversation into what is important by just asking the question, “Do you know the 3 Things God Can Not Do?” That is not confrontational and most people will respond favorably. Want to know more? On the home page is the simple plan of salvation under the life preservers. You can use this method to lead someone to Jesus. Turn your everyday conversations into life changing talk.

Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Thankful for The Privilege

November 20, 2018

It is a privilege to Serve Our Savior with SOS Events Ministry. Thankful for every missionary, trainer and volunteer who has been a witness for the Lord Jesus in the last 17 years. Thank the Lord for all the souls who have come for salvation and assurance in those years. Thank you all for your service for Him.

Nothing Fancy

November 3, 2018

Every event is different. In this photo, Diana is leading one child to the Lord. Nothing fancy here. No tent, just a table and some chairs and a willing worker filled with the Holy Spirit making a difference in peoples lives. At this “Churchyard” event 20 people made decisions last weekend. God blessed SOS Events with over 500 souls in October. Praise the Lord. A special thanks to ALL the SOS Events volunteers who worked various events last month.

Unusual Halloween

November 1, 2018

For the past several years, Diana, SOS Events Board Member, Office Manager, Trainer and volunteer, has used her yard to witness to the Trick or Treat people on Halloween.

Last night 35 people made decisions for salvation more than ever before. Diana and her husband, Tony, have turned the Halloween custom of Trick or Treat into an annual SOS Event. Thank the Lord for dedicated soul winners and the children, teens and adults they led to Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:4. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

Special Answer to Prayer

October 29, 2018

Ursula, on the right, is a faithful SOS Events volunteer who has not had opportunity to work at an event recently because she is the caregiver for her husband. On Saturday morning she cried out to God because she had not been able to win anyone to Christ in awhile. That evening, SOS Events had a booth at Bethany Baptist Church Fall Festival. Only two team members came to work in the booth and they were swamped with people wanting to be saved. There were actually people waiting to see the “3 Things God Can Not Do” and at that moment along came Ursula, who “happened” to be at the event not knowing SOS Events was there. She saw our problem and stepped right up and started to witness immediately. She was responsible for leading several people to the Lord. She is pictured here with a Mom who was saved. (Sorry about the shadow on the photo).

God blessed with 49 decisions in a little over two hours. God not only heard her plea but blessed abundantly more than we could think or ask.
