God has blessed those of us in America. We have so many things that we end up wondering what to do with the things we want to keep. Most of us have a closest full of clothes we no longer wear. Storage is usually at a minimum because we want to hang on to possessions we might use someday. Our garages get cluttered with unused tools and junk. It is time we got rid of the material clutter in our homes.
We also need to get rid of the clutter in our lives. Things that we hang on to. Things that we need to get rid of, worry, not forgiving others, bitterness, bad habits and other things that rob us of joy in our Christian life. Today let us look within ourselves and get rid of the clutter that keeps us from being the shining Christian God wants u to be.
Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Have you ever woke up in the middle of the night, with someone on your heart that you need to pray for? It is just a thought about a person that you may not have thought of in a long time. Maybe it is someone you don’t even know like a person in the news, a political figure or someone on the prayer list from church. Do not ignore that feeling. It is the Holy Spirit prompting you to pray. That person may be going through a struggle, mentally, physically or spiritually. God speaks to us in a still small voice, especially in the night out of a sound sleep and He is using you to pray for someone who needs prayer at that moment.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Let us start the New Year right by going to church. Pray or your Pastor. Pray for anyone who may be lost that they will hear and accept Jesus as their Savior. Pray for listening ears so that you will receive and respond to the message God wants you to hear. Enjoy fellowship of others in the congregation, your church family, who will love and support you through the joys and sorrows of your life. We have 52 Sunday’s in this year, what opportunities to draw close to the Lord!
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Do you have a special time every day with God? It can be the most precious and productive few minutes of everyday. The first thing in the morning is best, but schedules may prevent that. You could get up a few minutes early, sometimes difficult, but definitely worth it. Whatever time of day you choose, read a passage of scripture, pray and allow God to speak to you.
You can ask yourself the following questions as you meditate on God’s Word:
Is there a sin I need to confess?
– Is there a promise I can claim?
– Is there an attitude I need to change?
– Is there a command I need to obey?
– Is there an example I can follow?
Enjoy your fellowship with God.
Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Sometimes we feel alone or depressed, especially after the holiday season is over. Maybe looking forward to the weekend is not joyful for you, but there is someone who loves you and is with you. You are not alone. Jesus is always there not only on Friday but every day of the week, month and year.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Numbers 6:25-26 The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
New Years Eve 2018…Time to reflect on the year that is ending and look to the New Year ahead. Joys, sorrow, memories and lessons learned in 2018 are now behind. Tomorrow starts a New Year. Time to look forward. It is a good idea to set some goals. Lose weight, do a better job at work, get better grades in school, witness more, help others. Whatever your resolution, keep it. Many of us make resolutions or goals and by January 10th they are already forgotten. The only way to keep our resolutions is to ask Jesus for help and look to Him as our example.
The goal for SOS Events Ministry in 2019 is to win more people to Jesus, get more events in new areas, train more Christians to work at events and Serve Our Savior faithfully. You can help by praying, giving or volunteering. Let us make 2019 the best year ever.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Did you remember to get JESUS the gift He wants for Christmas? Many years ago, a little boy only two or three years old was in a Christmas program at a small church.
I have never forgotten the words this small child spoke on that day.
“I’m not very big
Nor very tall you see
but to the dear Lord Jesus
I give all of me.”
That small child is now a man an has given his life to the Lord working with children and influencing multitudes of lives to give their all to Jesus also.
Have you given all of you to Jesus?
Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest:go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven:and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
