November 5, 2015Alabama Fair
November 4, 2015The fair in Alabama is about half over and we are praying for many decisions at that event. Please pray with all of us at SOS Events that the workers will not be hindered by the devil.
God is always faithful to bring people to the booth and this event is another opportunity to win souls.
Death, a New Beginning
November 3, 2015Please pray for Lee, Alice and their family for comfort as his mother, Doris Thomas, went to be with the Lord on November 1st. (Alice is a valuable team member with SOS Events. She will be out of the office this week and also missed at the Wednesday Flea Market.)
We are so thankful for God’s promises in the Bible. It is great to know that one day we will be with our loved ones in heaven if they have trusted Jesus as their Savior. Death is not the end, it is just the beginning.
Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Great Harvest
November 1, 2015Reports from Halloween Events are coming into the SOS Events home office. We will list a few as there are still several events to report in on Monday. The events have different names but they all were Halloween related. All events were in Florida except the one in Alabama.
New Home Baptist 24 decisions, Turkey Creek 14 decisions, Lebanon 16, Avon Park 27.
Diana, SOS Events office manager has a SOS Events booth set up in her yard for Trick or Treat. 22 salvations were reported.
Eastmont in Alabama had 45 decisions at their Trunk or Treat. That brings the total to 148 decisions and more reports will be in by tomorrow. Praise the Lord for all the decisions made. Pray for the all the new converts that they will grow and learn more about their new life in Christ.

Halloween
October 30, 2015Halloween has many traditions dating back over 2000 years. What originally came from superstition and festivals to keep away evil spirits has now become in America a time for displays of witches, goblins and scary things. Children go from house to house saying “Trick or Treat” and older teens sometimes will soap windows or litter a yard with toilet paper.
SOS Events uses this day on October 31st to win people to the Lord. Tomorrow SOS team members and volunteers will be working at 9 events just around our area in Florida. Many people will be given the gospel and your prayers for the lost souls are greatly appreciated.
Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

October 29, 2015HOME. What a wonderful word. Tom Curtis spent 12 days in the hospital after major surgery and his focus was on getting strong enough to come home. He worked diligently to be able to be released to come home. Then the joyful moment when he stepped in the door. He was able to eat what he wanted, sleep without being interrupted and just relax. What a blessing from the Lord. (He won 2 people to the Lord in the hospital as well as prayed with several nurses and caregivers)
Our focus as Christians should be that we are working diligently to get ready to go to our eternal home, Heaven. Our works do not save us but we want to be able to have the Savior meet us and say well done. That will be a joyful moment when we step into Heaven and all the trials of this earth will be gone and only blessing will be there.
Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

This is an old happy song written over 100 years ago, but it will still lift your spirits today. The message in it is so true. Maybe you have a friend who is going through a hard time, a phone call, email or sometimes just a smile or a shoulder to cry on makes all the difference in the world to that person. You can always pray with someone.
It is our responsibility as Christians to let our light shine brightly and reflect the Love of Jesus to a hurting world.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Changed Lives
October 27, 2015Corey, age 25, wrote on the back of his decision card, “I feel wonderful to have Jesus in my heart.”
This is just one of the comments from the 60 plus souls that made a decision at the Talladega Races in Alabama. What a joy to be a part of SOS Events Ministry and see people’s lives changed and become new.
