November 6, 2016Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Did you remember to set your clock back? When the time changes twice a year from standard to daylight saving time and back again, our bodies take a few days to get on schedule. Many of us would like to see the time not change. Man decided we can change time but there is still 24 hours in a day, created by God. The sun rises and sets, there is light and darkness and seasons.
Sometimes God may laugh at us thinking we can think we change time but the real change will come when we walk on the streets of gold and there will be no night there. Jesus will be the light.
Revelations 23-27 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there
Citizenship
November 5, 2016The forefathers of the USA gave us many freedoms when they wrote and approved the Constitution, but the greatest freedom of all is freedom from sin provided by Jesus when he shed His blood to pay for our sins. It is a great blessing to be a citizen the USA by being born in the Country or to apply for citizenship. To become a citizen of Heaven we must be born again.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Prepare to Vote
November 4, 2016Only a few more days until Election Day. There are still many people who do not know who to vote for because they don’t like either candidate running for President. If you can’t decide or will not vote because of your negative feelings, remember that this coming President will choose at least 2 or three Surpreme Court Justices who will rule on key issues that will effect the lives of you, your children and grandchildren. If you can’t vote for the candidate vote the platform.
Do not throw your vote away. Forget the commercials, negative ads and talk show rhetoric, research the issues yourself and VOTE next Tuesday.
Matthew 22:17&22 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

Love Your Neighbor

This is a photo of Diana’s front lawn at her home on Halloween. She set up for Trick or Treat and she had 25 decisions for Christ before the evening was done. 10 adults were saved who came with their children, 13 children were saved and 2 children received assurance of their salvation. It is amazing what God will do with one person who is willing to step out of their comfort zone and witness for the Lord. One night and the results were more than most churches do in a year.
SOS Events has many ideas to help you make a difference in the lives of people around you. Do you make a difference in your neighborhood?

Halloween, A Time to Witness
October 31, 2016Halloween is a day that originated to ward off evil spirits with bonfires and sacrifices. Today it is a time when children trick or treat and adults party. Some people love Halloween and others hate it, but however you feel about today as Christian we can use it to witness for the Lord.
If children come to your house for trick or treat be sure to give them a tract along with the candy. SOS Events participates in many Halloween alternatives at churches and community events. Diana (our office manager) sets up a “3 Things God Can Not Do” display in her yard every Halloween and has seen many children, teens and adults come to know the Lord in the last several years. Be a witness and use this opportunity for God’s glory. Also please pray for many souls to be saved on this night the busiest in the year for SOS Events all around the USA.
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Today the blog is in memory of Tom Curtis, founder of SOS EVENTS Ministry. He would have been 80. He was a man who loved God and was a great witness for the Lord. His desire was not only to see souls saved but to get other Christians to be soul winners.
Mission accomplished in his life. SOS Events has seen over 50,000 souls saved in 15 years and hundreds of Christians trained and witnessing all over the USA and beyond. So while we miss him today we celebrate his life by releasing balloons with tracts hoping that whoever finds a balloon will read the tract and be saved.
