October 24, 2019At a recent Car Show where SOS Events had a booth, an older man came over to sit down and the conversation went like this:
SOS volunteer: “Do you know the 3 Things God cannot do?”
Man: ” I don’t believe in God.”
As the conversation continued for several minutes the man was persistent with reasons he did not believe in God and the volunteer tried to show him from the Bible what God says about salvation, Because he did not believe the Bible is God’s Word, finally, the conversation ended with these words:
Man:”I hope I didn’t upset you.”
SOS volunteer: “The only thing that upsets me is that I am looking into the eyes of a man who I will not see in Heaven.”
Sometimes, a person does not listen to the Holy Spirit as we witness to them. God is not willing that anyone should perish, but some people’s hearts are hardened. The only thing we can do is to pray that they will have their eyes opened and the tract we gave them or something we said will take root and they will be saved before it is too late.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
For All SOS Events Teams

Several of SOS Events Leaders and Volunteers are going through some difficult times. Illness, death of loved ones, financial problems and family difficulties. This beautiful poem is to encourage each one. Also, to ask for prayer for all the SOS Events volunteers. God did not promise freedom from trials even when we are faithfully serving Him, but He does show His love to us and comforts us in our trials.
2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
22 Salvations in Ohio
October 22, 2019God blessed the SOS Events Ohio team with 20 Salvations this past weekend. This event was a craft fair at Genesis Village, a retirement facility in Toledo. This team was formed last summer after much prayer for volunteers. They are doing a wonderful job witnessing for the Lord at events. God blesses SOS Events Ministry with faithful Leaders and Volunteers.

God’s Faithful Volunteers
October 21, 2019
A special thanks to the faithful volunteers who came to work in the SOS Events booth on Saturday and Sunday at the Rattlesnake Festival in Dade City, Florida. Saturday there were tornado watches. Several tents blew away but God was good to us as nothing was damaged. There were very few (maybe 10) people who came around. God blessed with a family, a Dad and his young son accepted the Lord. Sunday was a little better with sunny skies. Everything was still in chaos, booths were set up anywhere with no organization, but again God blessed with 3 Salvations.

Perfect SOS Events Discription
October 19, 2019Love that SOS ministries isn’t in the business of “just making converts” but that their hearts and ministry is to Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with whosoever God leads to them through the Holy Spirit and then follows up with those making decisions both through the local church body, national organization of SOS (prayer and age appropriate Bible studies) and discipleship/mentorship through plugging them into volunteering through the ministry. It’s the complete package: Salvation, Discipleship, Service, Duplication! Conversion and Discipleship are each a side of the same coin. But you can’t have discipleship without conversion first! Plant City, Florida

Many events take place in October, but the weekly event that goes on all year is the Flea Market in Plant City, FL. Last week there were 5 Salvations. Please pray with SOS Events Ministry for new volunteers for this event. Spanish speaking people are especially needed.

Cotton Festival

Cotton Festival in Eclectic Alabama was a first time event for SOS Events Ministry and it was amazing!! Within 10 minutes of being set up Mr. Don came back and gave his life to Jesus!! He is 72 years old and is now born again!! We talked to 356 people at the 3 Things God Cannot Do board and gave out 405 tracts. We all had great conversations with some really special people and know God had us right where we were supposed to be. 3 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and 8 received assurance and now they know they’re going to Heaven. 4 others were not ready to commit their lives to Christ but they will be prayed for and receive a Bible study. It is always a wonderful day when you can go out and share the Gospel and show the love of Christ with SOS Events Ministry.
