Thankful for Church
November 24, 2019Carolyn Curtis is thankful for opportunities to update SOS Events Ministry to supporting churches. Today she will be in New Jersey at Faith Baptist Church. This church has been a great friend to SOS Events and many souls have come to Jesus with the faithful members there.

Which Group Are You?
November 23, 2019Everyone who is saved has a different testimony. Some were saved as a small child through the influence of parents, grandparents or a godly Sunday School teacher or bus worker. They really do not know what it is like to be in the world as sinners and have the most time to serve the Lord.
Others lived a life of sin and came to know Jesus after they came to the end of their rope and felt hopeless and had no place to turn. Maybe a Christian handed them a Bible tract and witnessed to them, or they went into a mission for food and a warm bed, and still others met an SOS Events worker at an event. These people are so thankful to be out of a life of sin and many want to tell others of their wonderful Savior.
There is a group of people who lived a good life, went to church, tithed, were moral, and did not commit any terrible sin. This group is the hardest to reach for Christ because they think they are good enough to to get to Heaven, but they realized they needed to be saved.
Every category of Christian falls into one of these groups, all are sinners in need of a Savior. If you are saved you can be thankful for your salvation. This is the greatest blessing in your life no matter if you are rich or poor, male or female, young or old. Today join with us in thanking God for your salvation.
Ephesians 12-14 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
The American Holiday
November 22, 2019With all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season there is a very important Holiday that gets shoved in the background. Christmas decorations go up the day after Halloween and everything focuses on Christmas (not the true meaning but the materialism).
The true American Holiday, Thanksgiving is all but forgotten, unless of course it is for the feasting on turkey and the trimmings.
Thanksgiving. Thanks. Giving. It is a day when the focus should be on giving God the thanks for the bountiful blessings He has given to us.
Let us take time this coming week to thank The Lord for all His blessings.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Continuing Thankfulness
November 21, 2019Thank the Lord for the great office staff of SOS Events Ministry. Diana and Alice are the office staff who keep things going for the ministry, but they also work at events and are great soul winners. In this photo they are working at events. Thank you Diana and Alice for all you do for the Lord.

What Are You Doing?

Great quote for the world we live in today. When contemplating what to put on the blog, this quote came to mind, but who first said it?
This is a good research project for you today. It is not scripture but a true saying for Christians.
Are you sitting back doing nothing? Content to sit in church and listen, but not going out and witnessing to your friends and neighbors. The conclusion, do something. Join SOS Events and learn how to be a witness for Christ.

SOS Events Ministry has had opportunity to go into all the world via the website. Reaching people with the gospel in 92 Countries and growing. People have searched for Bible lessons, topics and have been directed to SOS Events webpage. Thank the Lord for these opportunities to get His Word to people all over the world.
Getting Ready To Go To Church

We wake up Sunday morning and have to prepare for worship physically but how often do we take the time to spiritually prepare ourselves before we even walk through the doors? The devil will try to distract us with all kinds of problems. It’s a simple thing to forget in the bustle of getting ready on a Sunday morning, but we need to be thankful going to church. There is a right way to show up on Sunday, but it can only happen if we start preparing our hearts before we even leave our homes.
