When God answers prayers about something big, a healthy baby added to the family, a job after being out of work for a long time, unexpected finances just in the nick of time, we Praise the Lord
But, what about the little things, a message from someone who cares about you, a good nights sleep, the beautiful sunrise, a small bird eating at your bird feeder.
Little things. Today, stop for a moment and look around for a little thing that you can Praise the Lord for. He gives us so many little blessings.
The second day of a new year. Every day is an opportunity to draw closer to Jesus.
It is a good time to start daily communication with God with Bible reading and prayer. Take time for God to speak to you as you meditate on what you have read.
The best time is when you first get up. Your day will go better if it is started with Jesus.
Isaiah 43:18&19 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
2020 was a hard year for everyone all over the world. Let us put the past year behind and look forward to a better New Year that is free from illness, fighting and unrest.
We can accomplish this in our personal lives by trusting in Jesus and God’s promises.
It was a very busy day at the Plant City Flea Market yesterday. SOS Events last event of 2020 and God blessed with 20 people who accepted Jesus as their Savior.
Events have been few in 2020, however, God has blessed with souls at every event that did take place.
All the praise and glory belongs to Him. Thanks to all the faithful volunteers who work with SOS Events.
Pray with me for 2021 to be a great year. That we will see the end of the coronavirus, and that we have the opportunities to see more people saved.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Christmas is over, time to take down the beautiful decorations and keeping in our hearts the memories of Christmas 2020. It always makes me sad to put away those wonderful things that make Christmas special every year. As we put away the lights, tree, nativity sets, let us NOT put away the truth of Christmas, Jesus was born into this world to be our Savior, and it is our responsibility to tell others. So let us make a resolution to be better witnesses in 2021, and Serve Our Savior with more zeal than we ever had before.
Witnessing is a little more difficult because of social distancing and lack of events and physical gatherings, but we can make phone calls, write notes and use social media to be a witness for the Lord. Be creative. Think of someone today who needs the Lord and pray for him or her, and then contact them. People need the Lord now more than ever.
Acts 26:22-23 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.:
After the wise men’s visit, Joseph was warned in a dream to take Jesus and Mary and flee to Egypt. Herod was seeking to kill Jesus and not getting a report back from the wise men he had all the young children in Bethlehem killed. But Jesus was safe and the little family stayed in Egypt until Herod was dead.
Then once again Joseph had a dream and returned but went to live in Nazareth where Jesus grew from childhood until He started His earthly ministry.
God’s Word is true. Every prophesy concerning Jesus birth was fulfilled down to the last detail. Many people leave Jesus in the manger as a baby but do not believe future events also predicted in the Bible. Jesus is the Messiah, He did die on the cross and He is coming again to rule and reign over all the world. Are you ready for a great future with Jesus the coming King?
Matthew 2:13-15 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, and was very old. She was a widow, for her husband had died when they had been married only seven years.
Probably, after her husbands death, Anna would have been encouraged to get married again and have children. Anna, chose to stay single. She chose to serve the Lord. She chose to fast and pray, worshiping the Lord day and night. She told people the news of the Savior that was coming, no matter how long it might be before he came. She knew her purpose and she didn’t let anyone’s opinions or comments keep her from it. Then Anna saw Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus in the temple and knew her purpose had been fulfilled.
Luke 2:36-38 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption i
