God Bless America

July 4, 2021

Psalms 33:1Psalms 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

God has blessed America. We live in a country the is imperfect but we have freedom to worship as we please.

Today, Independence Day, let us take time away from the celebrations and give thanks to God for our freedoms.

Christians pray for our country, that we may turn back to the Lord. God’s Word is truth and if we want to continue to live in peace and freedom the only hope is for a revival before it is forever too late.

Christian First, Then Citizen of USA

July 3, 2021

As Christians we need to be proud to be Americans. We have responsibilities as citizens. Stand up for our freedoms given to us by the constitution. Vote so that the government is run by leaders of our choice. Teach our children and grandchildren, first the principles taught in the Bible, then the history of the USA.

Ephesians 6:14-17
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of tthe gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God

True Freedom

July 2, 2021

The USA prepares for the 4th of July celebrations, honoring our freedom and independence.

However, true freedom is in our hearts and minds when we know Jesus as our Savior, no matter if we are bond or free.

Go and Tell

July 1, 2021

SOS Events Ministry is blessed to have faithful volunteers who go and tell the good news. Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. He did that because He loves us and His blood cleanses us from all sin.

At the Plant City Flea Market this week, 11 people made a decision to ask Jesus to forgive them of all their sin. 2 more people received assurance of their salvation. Praise the Lord.

Troubled Thoughts?

June 30, 2021

As a man thinks, so is he. What do you think about? The Bible tells us what to think about if we want our minds not to be troubled.

Sometimes, we get depressed or worried, but if we deliberately think on good things, God will help us to be free of unrest, fear and sin.

Scripture verses and spiritual songs are good things to meditate and think about. Count your blessings is another way to bring joy and Praise to the Lord.

Miss Your Flight?

June 29, 2021

Have you ever missed a connecting flight as you were traveling?

That can be a real stressful situation. The uncertainty of when you can find a flight to get you home. You were just a few minutes too late.

There is one flight you really don’t want to miss. That is your flight to eternal life. If you miss that, it is permanent. There is no second chance to get on board.

Don’t be late. Trust Jesus as your Savior, today.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Jesus Is Coming

June 28, 2021

The Bible tells us that Jesus is coming back. Are you ready?

Pastors

June 27, 2021

According to God‘s word, he gives us pastors who feed us with knowledge and understanding.

Have you prayed for your Pastor today? He needs prayer. Pastors get attacked by the enemy more than anyone can imagine.

Let us pray and encourage our Pastor and his family, especially on Sunday. Send him a note of encouragement this week.

Pray For Your Leaders

June 26, 2021

Are we praying enough for our leaders? Pray earnestly for the President, your governor, local leaders.

Pray for their wisdom and guidance that we may live in peace. Most of all, pray for their salvation.

We may agree with our leaders or not, but it is our responsibility as Christians to pray for them.

Storms

June 25, 2021

Storms can be frightening. Wind, rain, lightning come down trees and cause a lot of damage. And then after the storm is over the sun comes out and everything looks peaceful.

We have storms in our lives that we think will take us down. But if we know Jesus as our Savior, He will go with us through the storm and calm our hearts and bring us peace.
