1 My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou art mine; for thee all the follies of sin I resign; my gracious Redeemer, my Savior art thou; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
2 I love thee because thou hast first loved me and purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree; I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
3 I’ll love thee in life, I will love thee in death, and praise thee as long as thou lendest me breath, and say when the deathdew lies cold on my brow: If ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
4 In mansions of glory and endless delight, I’ll ever adore thee in heaven so bright; I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow: If ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now
This is an old hymn written many years ago by a young man, William Featherston, only 16 years old. What a great gift to future generations.
However, today in many churches the old hymns with heartfelt meaning are no longer sung. How sad.
Can you join with me an say “my Jesus, I love you.” He loves you.
Many of us would never know where Lesotho is. Someone from that country decided to check out the SOS Events website yesterday.
The Kingdom of Lesotho is a small country in Africa, located in the Maloti Mountains, the highest mountains in Africa. Population of 2 million.
God tells us in His Word to go into all the world and preach the gospel. How can we do that when we do not even know where a country is located?
One of the ways God uses today is World Wide Web. Please pray that more people will look at SOS Events on the internet. Pray for salvation of these people who may not have a missionary in their area or anyone to tell them about Jesus and salvation.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
What a wonderful day that the Lord gave to the volunteers of SOS Events Ministry on Saturday.
The weather was hot and humid, but that did not stop these faithful workers for going to the Food Distribution to witness.
God blessed them with 15 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior.
One of the volunteers said she did not want to go but knew the Lord wanted her to be there. Then God blessed as He always does when we are obedient to Him.
Isaiah 1:19 – If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Sunday is a wonderful day to Praise the Lord! It is not the only day we should worship. Everyday of the week we should be reading our Bible, praying and praising God for all He has done for us.
Tracts are very effective. Many Christians have been saved reading a tract, either along with someone witnessing or them or picking one up and reading it on their own.
Carolyn Curtis is a good example. She was given a tract the morning she was on the way to Niagara Falls to end her life. While getting up the courage to jump in, she read the tract, prayed the prayer on the back and was gloriously saved. Since that time many have come to the Lord through her witness.
One tract can change a life. You can be the one to give a tract to someone in person, leave one in the restroom at a store restaurant or any public place. Put one in a library book, in a shoe box at a shoe store. Be creative. Think of a place to leave a tract and pray someone will find it who needs the Lord. It is a life changing opportunity.
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
If you need tracts, you can order the 3 Things God Can Not Do tracts from SOS Events website, call the office or mail and request them. Www.SOSEvents.org, 813-494-7512 or PO Box 189, Dover, Fl 33527 A packet of 25 for $2.50 plus postage.
Are you looking for Jesus? We get so busy with the cares of this life that we sometimes do not remember that Jesus is coming back, and it could be soon. The Bible tells us that we do not know the day or the hour but when we least expect it He will come. We will be caught up to meet Him in the air, if we have trusted Him as Lord and Savior. Are you ready and watching?
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Jesus is waiting with open arms to welcome you into His family if you have never invited Him to be your Savior.
Many people think that everyone is a child of God. It is true that He created every person, however, you are not His child until you accept Jesus as your Savior.
Call upon Him today. There will come a time when it may be too late.
