Sometimes Christians are so busy we forget the importance of getting alone with God. We are doing good things, family time, work, maybe teaching Sunday School or even preaching. The easiest time to get away from God is when we are doing God’s work. Even Jesus went away from the crowds to be alone with the Father. We must not neglect our devotion time everyday. It is vital to our walk with God.
Psalms 70:4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

“Soul winning is the main thing with God. If it isn’t first with the preacher, the preacher isn’t right. If soul winning isn’t the first thing with the church, the church isn’t right. If soul winning isn’t first for a Sunday school teacher, he or she is not a good Sunday school teacher. If soul winning isn’t the main reason for a Christian school, it is not a very good Christian school. If soul winning isn’t the main thing for a Christian newspaper like the SWORD OF THE LORD, then it is off the track and not what a Christian paper ought to be. The first and main thing with God is soul winning. Every preacher, if he is saved, has this Great Commission. If you don’t win souls, you have failed in your Christian life. No one is a good Christian who doesn’t win souls.” By Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980)
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Yesterday we saw what a baby Christian is like. Today let us see what a Christian is like who is saved and has grown a little but has not yet matured. Children can be sweet, obedient, full of questions and like to learn new things. However, they are selfish, willful and sometimes disobedient. Young Christians have some of the same traits. If you are a young Christian, learn how to grow. Develop good habits. Go to a good Bible believing church, study the Bible daily, pray and fellowship with mature Christians. Also, learn to be a witness and tell friends and family about your faith in Jesus. Get rid of old things that would cause you to fall into sin. No matter what your physical age is, your spiritual age is the most important.
Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Did you remember to set your clocks ahead? Those of us who live in certain States in the USA have a time change twice a year and a lot of us do not like the change. Our internal time clocks have readjust to the one hour difference. If you are one who loves “Daylight Saving Time” or you would rather stay on “Standard Time” there is one thing we as Christians should remember. God’s timing is always perfect. Maybe He is amused at our attempt to make time change. There is still 24 hours in everyday no matter what the clock tells us. This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

There is a harmless black Snake that lives on the SOS Events property. He is about 5 ft long and can really frighten us if we come upon him suddenly. Yesterday, while transporting equipment to the Strawberry Festival to set up our display, we realized that the SOS Events van needed an oil change. We pulled into a fast oil change business and they took care of us right away. However, all of a sudden the young man under the van jumped out of the pit ( where the oil was drained). He started yelling and pointing under the van, “There’s a Cobra under the van.” A crowd of workers quickly appeared pointing to the van. Some were afraid, some thought it was funny and all of them wanted our van gone as soon as possible. They finished the job and even though we explained it was a harmless black snake they hurried as fast as possible to get it done. It reminds us that we do have a dangerous serpent, the devil, who will try to deceive us and cause us to sin. We should want him to be gone out of our lives as quickly as possible. The only One that can defeat him is Jesus.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

SOS Events has many Pastors who love this ministry and use the “3 Things God Can Not Do ” in their personal soul winning, in sermons, at churchyard events and witness in a SOS Events booth at community events. We are thankful for these Pastors who have partnered with SOS Events and pray the Lord will bless them and that new people will be added to their congregation. Pray for your Pastor today.
2 Thessalonians 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

“My heart, which is so full to overflowing, has often been solaced and refreshed by music when sick and weary.” ― Martin Luther The Bible has a lot to say about songs and singing. The music we listen to affects us spiritually and emotionally. It can soothe a crying baby, expresses our worship to God, sets the mood for romance and is very important in our lives. There are many different kinds of music for people of all ages, preferences and ethnic backgrounds. We must choose carefully what music we listen to as it will affect all areas of our lives.
1 Chronicles 15:16 And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with JOY.

Sometimes, we forget to thank God for all the things that he does for us all the time. Things like keeping us safe when we travel, giving us food and shelter and all of our needs. We don’t think about the little daily things until something happens and we don’t have them anymore. People that have lost their homes because of disaster, like fires or floods. Lost love ones, through sickness, accident or old age. Today, let us look around and see all the things that we have. And praise God for all the little things.
Psalms 104:33 I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

SOS Events Ministry partners with local churches to train Christians to win the lost. The goal of SOS Events is to reach the USA and beyond with people who want to win souls and go out into the marketplace to find them. Most people today will not come to church to find out how to get to Heaven. We have to GO and reach them where they are. Want to be a soul winner? We want to help. Contact the home office for more information.
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
