Do you want to live like Jesus?

Have you ever had a situation where you were so frustrated and felt like giving up? Then you called upon the Lord and the answer came.
God loves His children and desires that we lean on Him for strength, wisdom and guidance.
When the answer to prayer comes we need to thank the Lord. Sometimes it is then we realize that He was there all the time. Waiting for us to call on Him.
So, when situations come that could make us feel discouraged, stop and call on God. He will answer!

God has burdened several people to win souls at the once a month car show in Plant City. In February, 10 people came to a SOS training, and three days later had a place reserved at the car show. The night was very cold for Florida and very few people attended the show.
However, God is faithful and we saw 2 young people come to know the Lord at that event. The young lady has already been connected to a church in the neighboring town where she lives and has expressed a desire to join the choir.
The young man and several of his friends, who encouraged him to come over and hear the gospel, is interested in participating in SOS events in the future.
This was article that was posted on the blog in April, 2007. What is interesting is that SOS Events had no car, just faithful volunteers and a tent.
The great news is that SOS Events is still going strong at the Car Show in Plant City. Saturday, there were 5 decisions to accept the LORD as Savior.
SOS Events now has a car to display at car shows. What a great blessing.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

There is something powerful about coming together with God’s people. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us that gathering is not just a routine—it is a necessity. In a world that often pulls us apart and distracts us, the Lord calls us to be faithful in assembling together.
When we come to church, we are strengthened. We encourage one another, we worship together, and we are reminded that we are not alone in this journey. Every handshake, every prayer, every song lifts our hearts and points us back to Christ.
Now more than ever, we need each other. As we see the day approaching, let us be faithful to gather, to encourage, and to shine brightly for Jesus wherever He places us.

Do you feel overwhelmed and there is so much to do? No time to get it all done.
Jesus gave us the answer in Matthew 11:28. “ Come unto me“, He said.
Stop, take a few minutes to read His Word, pray and ask Him for wisdom, strength to calm to fill your mind and heart.
Peace will come over you and all things will be accomplished. Maybe some things will have to wait until later but you will have assurance that it is in His hands.

On Wednesday, SOS Events had a new event that is an opportunity to become a weekly event.
Liberty Baptist Church in Plant City has Food Bank every week and invited SOS Events to come and present the 3 Things God Can Not Do.
It was a great success! 21 people prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior.
Praise the Lord for this new opportunity. Volunteers are needed. Please pray for this weekly event.
“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;” Matthew 9:37 KJV

What a powerful reminder for us today!
We live in a world that can feel overwhelming at times. There are pressures, distractions, discouragements, and even spiritual battles that come against us. It can seem like the world is getting louder and stronger—but this verse reminds us of a truth we must never forget:
The Bible says, “Ye are of God…” That means we belong to Him. We are His children, His servants, and His representatives here on earth. And because of that, we are not alone in anything we face.
It goes on to say, “and have overcome them.” Notice that it doesn’t say we might overcome or that we are trying to overcome—it says we already have. Through Christ, the victory has already been secured.
Why?
Because “greater is he that is in you…”
If you are saved, the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in your life. No force in this world—no fear, no opposition, no discouragement—can compare to the power of God within you.
That means when you step out to serve…
When you share the Gospel…
When you volunteer, witness, or simply shine your light…
You are not going in your own strength.
You are going with the power of God.
This is such an encouragement for all of us involved in SOS Events ministry. As we go into events, outreach, and everyday opportunities to witness, we don’t have to feel intimidated by the world around us.

How often do we try to “figure it out” before we fully trust God? We say we trust Him, but then we lean on our own understanding—our plans, our timing, our reasoning.
These verses are a simple but powerful reminder: trust Him completely.
Not halfway. Not when it makes sense. Not only when things are going well.
“All thine heart” means everything—your worries, your decisions, your future, even the things you don’t understand.
And then it says, “In all thy ways acknowledge him.” That means bringing Him into every part of your day—not just the big decisions, but the small ones too.
When we do that, God promises something beautiful: He shall direct thy paths.
You don’t have to figure it all out. You just have to trust the One who already has.
Today, let’s choose to trust Him a little more… and lean on Him a little less on ourselves.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

Praying together is a great blessing! God is there. He answers all prayers, if you pray alone or with someone else.
But, from this verse we see that He especially is with us when we have another person with us. Agreeing together for our needs and the needs of others.
What a tremendous blessing. If you do not have a prayer partner or group, find someone that will pray with you regularly.
