The Answer

March 19, 2020

Christians, the answer to getting the coronavirus under control is us. God promises that if we humble ourselves, confess our sins and seek Him, He will heal our land. Not only does the USA need revival and healing but this is a worldwide pandemic.

Now, more than ever, pray without ceasing. Many are frightened or discouraged. Call, text or write them and tell our friends and loved ones we are praying for them.

An Opportunity

March 17, 2020

“ When our biggest hopes and dreams don’t go as planned, there is an opportunity to get to the next level in our relationship with God.“

Psalm 73:28
But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, That I may tell of all Your works.

This was a paragraph in my devotional that I read this morning. What a perfect sentence for today. Many of the things we planned are now cancelled or postponed. SOS Events Annual Meeting, Weddings, Sporting Events and even Funerals have to wait.

This is a disappointment, however, it is a great opportunity to draw closer to God. A time to have more time with immediate family. Time to organize and plan for the future.

Look to the Lord for wisdom, guidance and hope for now and the days ahead. Let us all pray for this virus to be under control and that the spread of the disease be stopped.

Our Unchanging Savior

March 16, 2020

School closed, store shelves empty of certain products, visiting hospitals and assisted living facilities prohibited and sporting events cancelled.

When the world as we know it seems to have changed overnight because of the coronavirus, we have one thing that never changes That is The Lord Jesus. God Can Not Change. His love and care for us is constant. His promises are true. There are hundreds of verses in the Bible, God’s Word, that tells us not to fear, trust in Him, be anxious for nothing, He loves us and cares for us.

Today, if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, take all your cares and concerns to Him.

If you do not know Him personally, now is the time to put your faith in Him and ask Him to forgive your sins, believe Jesus died on the cross, was buried and 3 days later He arose. Then call on Him and invite Him to be your Savior.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

Monday Morning

February 24, 2020

Some of us wake up and are excited for new opportunities that we have this week. Others may be dreading the week ahead. Whatever our plans are for today, remember one thing, we have someone who is with us, who walks beside us, who gives us wisdom and guidance. His name is JESUS. Rely completely on Him.

Psalms 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Are you hurting? maybe from the loss of a loved one, divorce, poor health, betrayal of a friend or some other tragedy in your life. Many emotions continue to overwhelm you. Anger, fear, loneliness or depression. There is One who can give you peace. His name is Jesus. He wants to take all your burdens. He loves you with unconditional love ❤️.

Give all your heartache to Him. If you do not know Him, invite Him into your life by asking Him to forgive your sins, come into your heart and accept Jesus as your Savior. If you do know Him, give those troubles to Him and allow Him to comfort you.

Prayer, Preparation and Purpose

February 20, 2020

There are things that must take happen to have a successful event. SOS Leaders have a great responsibility when an event is going to take place. It takes prayer, preparation and purpose for each of them. SOS Events is blessed to have great team leaders.

An event will not be successful without prayer. God will bless when we call upon Him to work in the hearts of people who will hear about Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.

Preparation must be made. The time, place. All necessary items ready to be used. How detailed depends on the size and duration of the event.

The purpose must be clear. SOS Events purpose is to bring people into the Kingdom of God.

When all is in place then there is great expectation of what God will do at the event.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Big problem? God is bigger.
