SOS Tracts

October 3, 2017

The woman on the phone ask for SOS Events tracts to be sent to her. This was not an unusual request except she was not someone that was on our mailing list, worker or volunteer.  When asked where she got the tract she replied that she did not know. Maybe she picked it up at a restaurant or event, she did not remember but she loved the simplicity and clarity of the gospel on the tract. We sent her tracts the next day and hope that she will want become a team member as she lives in Orlando, Florida where there are multiple opportunities for soul winning.

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

It Takes Time

October 2, 2017

Sometimes we get discouraged, thinking that what we do for the Lord has not been successful. Handing out tracts, teaching a class, witnessing and we think nothing happens. Sometimes it takes a long time before we see the results of our labors. Last week we got a call from a man in Kentucky. He had been trained a year ago as a trainer with SOS Events. He had a display board, tracts and all the material necessary to get into an event, but we did not hear from him. But, after a year, he decided to get busy and start doing events. This first event is October 8 and he hopes to have several more during this autumn season. This example is repeated many times in SOS Events ministry. Sometimes it’s even years before people decide to use what they have been taught.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

37 Decisions

September 19, 2017

Why are SOS leaders and volunteers so passionate about this ministry?  Because of men, women and children…like Nikki.See this handwritten testimony of Nikki J., 12 years old? She accepted Christ at the SOS booth at the Trail of Tears event this past Sat in Waterloo, Al.

Will you join us in praying for her and the 36 others who made decisions for Christ at this event and for the SOS Leaders and Volunteers who “went” and shared the gospel?

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

God’s Plan for Expansion

September 18, 2017

The cell phone rings and I can’t get to it fast enough. Voicemail from an unknown phone number shows up on the screen from another state. Listen to the message. Someone wants information about SOS Events Ministry from Tennessee. His church already does Events and wants to use the “3 Things God Can Not Do” to win souls. What a blessing. There is a small SOS Events team in Tennesee currently only less than two hours away from this church. Another opportunity to expand and see more souls won to Christ. God is blessing the Ministry once again without any promotion on our part. Praise the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

SOS Alabama

August 25, 2017

Ok leaders…need your help and prayers. Looking for 2 additional leaders to bring some volunteers with them to En Fuego event this Sat in Verbena, Al. Your church may already have plans to attend and if so this would be a GREAT way to plug in your youth. Please pray for the needs for workers at this Alabama event tomorrow and that many souls will be saved.

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Events

August 14, 2017

As the autumn season approaches quickly, SOS Events is preparing for a very busy season. Fall Festivals, Halloween, Special Community Events, Conferences and much more. Events are scheduled in New York, New Jersey, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Florida, Ohio and more. Please be in prayer for all the leaders, trainers and workers as soul winning at events is the front line of battle for us as Christians and the enemy tries to discourage and stop our workers in this our busiest season of the year.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Time for a Tuneup

August 12, 2017

It’s so exciting to get a new car. It runs perfectly and you want to tell everyone about it. Then after a few months it is time for a tuneup. Tires need rotating, oil needs changing and you stop telling people about your new car. Christianity like that. When we first get saved we are excited and want to tell everybody, but after a few months or years the excitement wears off and we no longer want to witness or tell others about the wonderful gift of salvation. Maybe we need a tuneup. Go back to the Bible and get recharged.

Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Springhill, TN

August 6, 2017

God blessed the SOS Events Tennesee team with 12 decisions at the annual Family Fun Day hosted by Community Baptist Church.  Left to right, David (a new team member), Bill (team leader), Pat, Carolyn (cofounder SOS Events) and Charles. Pray for this team that they will grow and participate in several events with the busy Fall season approaching and that many souls will be saved in Tennessee.

Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Diana

August 4, 2017

A special Thank You to Diana for being a vital part of SOS Events. She is the Office Manager, Soul Winner and friend. A Godly wife, mother, grandmother. She is a blessing to everyone. Today pray for Diana and her family as we at SOS Events honor her for her dedication.

Jeremiah 33:3

July 25, 2017

A great Bible verse and so true. God has done great and mighty things for SOS Events in the years since 2001 when it began.
