Pray for Nashville

March 4, 2020

Job 42:10 – And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

True Love

February 13, 2020

Love focuses on the heart rather than the behavior.

A mother was called into the principals office about her son, who was accused of cheating on an exam. The principal said, “ Your son will never amount to a hill of beans.”

The mother replied, “You are looking at him as he is today, I see him as a man who God will use when he turns his life over to the Lord.” And he did.

Today, the son is now a man and he has influenced hundreds of children into valuable and productive lives. He became a school principal.

God sees us through the shed blood of Jesus if we are saved. He loves us unconditionally.

I Samuel 16:7 B For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Give Your Valentine A Fruit Basket

February 12, 2020

Have you gotten your valentine a gift yet? Remember, the greatest way we can show our love is to have respect, courtesy and honor to the people we love. Practice the fruits of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Christian Love

February 7, 2020

Yesterday was a great blessing. SOS Events Ministry has many Christian women who truly love the Lord and love the ministry, who come each month to help send out the monthly newsletter. To hear them laugh, talk and have fellowship as they work is so wonderful. Thank you ladies. You are truly loved and appreciated.

1 John 1:7 – But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 4:11-13 – Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Jesus Came to Save You

January 15, 2020

This is one of the most memorized and recognized verses in the Bible. Jesus did come for everyone in the world but you must realize that He died for you personally and then believe in His death, burial and resurrection. Only those who trust in Jesus as their Savior will have everlasting life.

Faint Not

January 14, 2020

January is always an extremely busy month for the staff of SOS ministries. The office staff has end of the year reports to get finished, the shop has several projects to complete, there is preparation for the many events that take place in Florida in the winter and there are new people to be trained, some for event workers and some to be event leaders.

All this activity can cause us to get weary, but the Bible says we will reap if we faint not.

Why is all this activity so necessary? SOULS. All of the effort is with the goal in mind of winning many people to Christ.

The promise is in the verse. WE WILL REAP.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing:for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Have No Fear!

Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

The Answer is in the BOOK

January 2, 2020

Every Christian needs to get alone with God everyday. Fifteen minutes a day can take you through the Bible in a year. It is not to late to start if you begin today. This is leap year, February has 29 days that will catch you up if you did not start on January first. (There are several yearly Bible reading plans on the web)

Some people read a Proverb a day, which is a wonderful place to seek wisdom. The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the books to read to know Jesus better and learn more of His sacrifice for you. Interested in prophecy? Daniel and Revelation are the books for you. Whatever you need the answer is in the Book, the Bible.

Let God speak to you through His Word and then you will be able to speak to Him through prayer.

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
