Words

April 15, 2020

In this difficult time, many of us are all living at home with family members 24/7. This is not our normal way of life. The adults would be going off to work, children going to school, church, and social activities would take up most of our time.

However, now we find ourselves together and if we are not careful with our words things can get out of hand. Restlessness and inactivity can cause tempers to flare. Fear, anxiety can cause us to say things we do not mean.

One little word can make a difference. Example: I love you or I hate you. One little word. Let us show love one to another even in this uncertain time.

Normal or Better

April 13, 2020

It is difficult to wait. We are waiting for the time when things get back to normal. When we can go to church, to the grocery store or to our favorite restaurant.

God tells us our strength will be renewed. Do we want things to go back to “normal” or do we want things to be better. Do we want to love Jesus more, appreciate what we have more, witness more, pray more.

Don’t wait to do those things, start now and truly our waiting will not be wasted. With God’s help our strength will be renewed and better than ever.

Judas Iscariot

April 9, 2020

He walked with Jesus. He saw the miracles. He was trusted enough to handle the money. Others did not see him as evil. JUDAS. A name that even today we think of betrayal. Greed, for 30 pieces of silver he was willing to betray the ONE who loved him.

We wonder how he could do such a horrible thing and yet, do we betray Jesus with our attitude, our indifference or our sin? When Jesus told the disciples that one would betray Him, each one asked, “Is it I?”

Let us ask ourselves, do I betray my Savior, Jesus, in any way? If so let us ask His forgiveness had love Him as He loved us.

Matthew 26:25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Encourage Others

April 6, 2020

We are unable to assemble ourselves together at this time in most areas of the world, however, we can show love to one another by a phone call, note or email. Today, do something to uplift a family member, friend or neighbor. When we encourage others we are doing what God commands and He blesses us with peace and comfort.

Palm Sunday

April 5, 2020

Today is Palm Sunday. The Bible tells us that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and people honored Him with palms and shouts of Praise. Hosanna!

Just a few days later, some of these same people shouted, Crucify him, crucify him. How quickly their cry changed.

In this time of fear and uncertainty, many will turn to Jesus for help and comfort, but when this threat passes will they turn back to their old ways and walk away! What about you?

The Lord Reigns!

March 31, 2020

Rejoice it’s a something that many of us do not feel right now, however, God tells us to Praise Him in all things. Today the challenge is to Praise the Lord. We have so many blessings. Let’s focus on them.

We have a Savior who loves us no matter what. He will take care of us. We think the worst thing could happen is that we get sick and die. If we are His child what is the threat? Heaven. Think about it.

Focus on God’s Healing

March 30, 2020

Many people are being healed of the Coronavirus. Our news media is so focused on the amount of cases and deaths that we are not hearing about the people that have been healed.

For those of us who are Christians, we need to focus on God‘s healing power. If you are reading this and you are not a Christian, today is the time you need to ask Jesus to be your Savior.

The Answer

March 19, 2020

Christians, the answer to getting the coronavirus under control is us. God promises that if we humble ourselves, confess our sins and seek Him, He will heal our land. Not only does the USA need revival and healing but this is a worldwide pandemic.

Now, more than ever, pray without ceasing. Many are frightened or discouraged. Call, text or write them and tell our friends and loved ones we are praying for them.

Coronavirius

March 11, 2020

Christians, there is much worry and speculation about the coronavirus, however, fear is not of the Lord. God tells us to trust Him.

We must be wise and take precautions, like washing our hands often, staying away from places where there has been reports of the illness, but God does not want us to be fearful of what might happen. Trust Him and stop worrying.
