Are you at a crossroad in your life? Having to choose what to do. College or Militaty? House or Apartment? Ministry or Secular Job? Stay Single or Marry? Current Job or New Job? There are so many decisions in life that set the coarse for the rest of your life. One wrong decision and disaster. A right one and joy and prosperity. The first right decision is to accept Jesus as your Savior. The second one is to follow Him and let Him direct your path. Read the Bible, pray and seek Godly council.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
For our friends in other Countries. Tomorrow we celebrate Mother’s Day in the USA. It is a time that we honor our Mothers who have done so much for us, but even if your country does not have an official day to honor your mother it is a biblical principle. Honor your Mother and you will honor God.
Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
Today is April 1, and many people love to play pranks on others. All in fun. The Bible talks a lot about fools. 62 times the word fool is mentioned. Plus many more words like foolish, foolishly and more. It is a good Bible word study. The most recognized verse follows:
Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Isaiah 41:13 (KJV) For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
“My sheep hear my voice” is what the scripture says, not “my sheep can hear My voice” or “My sheep should hear My voice” but that they do hear His voice. Note also that God directs His voice to His sheep. He doesn’t say “My intelligent follower”, or “the popular or kind”. No, He says, “My sheep”. The sheep knows the sound, the inflection, of its shepherd’s voice. So we are to know the voice of God in our life as a Christian. How does God speak to us, His sheep? Clearly He speaks through His Word. Read it, study it, and listen to it.
John 10:3b (KJV) “…the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them… “
John 10:14 (KJV) “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”
Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.”
In life, we need the help of Christ to stay focused, so make His Word personal. Say the verse above, Colossians 3:17 by using your name and personal pronouns. An example is below.
Whatever (your name) does in word or in deed, let me do all in the name of Jesus and give thanks to God my Father through Jesus.
