It was a very busy day at the Plant City Flea Market yesterday. SOS Events last event of 2020 and God blessed with 20 people who accepted Jesus as their Savior.
Events have been few in 2020, however, God has blessed with souls at every event that did take place.
All the praise and glory belongs to Him. Thanks to all the faithful volunteers who work with SOS Events.
Pray with me for 2021 to be a great year. That we will see the end of the coronavirus, and that we have the opportunities to see more people saved.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
If you think about it, it’s a bit strange for someone to put goodies in an old sock. But like many Christmas traditions, the tradition of Christmas stockings comes from an old legend.
A long time ago (so the story goes), a poor man had three daughters and couldn’t afford to give them a dowry (money or goods given to the groom’s family by the bride’s family). In those days, it was very hard for a woman to get married without a dowry. A Christian bishop named Nicholas heard about the problem and wanted to help, but the man refused to accept money. One night, Nicholas threw three balls made of pure gold in through the open window of the man’s house. Each one landed in a stocking hung by the fire to dry. The next morning, each daughter found a gold ball in her stocking. With this bounty, they were all able to get married.
Stockings can remind us of the importance of service. The greatest example of service is Jesus Christ. He always “went about doing good” (Acts 10:38).
Take some time to think about the Savior’s selfless acts of service. How can you give Christlike service and show kindness to others?
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
At the Plant City Flea Market, one of the SOS volunteers showed a lady the “3 Things God Can Not Do”.
Then ask the question, “Are you 50, 75, or 100% sure if you died a day you go to heaven?”
She answered, “0%.”
The soul winner proceeded to tell her that she could be 100% sure, and she decided to go back to the table and find out how she could be sure.
She trusted Jesus as her Savior, and was so excited that she was going to receive a Bible Study in the mail. Then she asked if she could have Bible study sent to her three children.
There was much rejoicing with her and the other volunteers over her decision. Praying her whole family will be saved.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. Romans 10:13
SOS Events Ministry was on the move this past weekend with 2 events on Saturday, in Alabama. The Cotton Festival in Eclectic, a large event. God Blessed greatly with 2 people surrendering their lives to Christ and had 8 people receiving assurance and now they can be 100 % sure that they are going to Heaven. We would also like to thank all the volunteers for all they did to make this event successful.
SOS Events Leaders were at the St. Clair County Cowboy Church for their Fall Festival with Tally Keith for their 1st event since adding 5 new volunteers in that church. This was a great event and had a wonderful turnout. There were 3 people that received assurance and now they know that they know they’re 100% sure they’re going to Heaven!
1 precious young man named Timothy gave his life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, his grandmother told us his friend had been talking to him about Jesus and he’d been asking questions.
We are so greatful to be a part of this life saving ministry and to be able to help people like Timothy meet his divine appointment. A big thank you to Tally Keith for stepping out in faith and getting involved with SOS Events Ministry and hosting this event.
It was a great day for all to go out and Serve Our Savior!!!
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Psalms-25:5
Carolyn Curtis was waiting in her car to get the oil changed. One of the mechanics said, “Don’t you park your car in my yard at Strawberry Festival?”
Carolyn answered, “Yes.
Then they talked of the upcoming Florida Strawberry Festival in March of 2021. It is scheduled to take place. What a blessing.
Strawberry Festival is the largest event in Florida that SOS Events Ministry participates in, and we are so thankful that it is scheduled. Many events have been cancelled or postponed because of the coronavirus, but Strawberry Festival will take place, Lord willing.
Pray that many people will be saved. Also, for volunteers to work in the SOS Events booth.
The only thing between me and insanity is Jesus Christ. Pastor John Marlow
Carolyn Curtis and Alice Thomas had the opportunity to go to Bradenton yesterday to present SOS Events Ministry to the Bradenton Gospel Tabernacle. Pastor John Marlow has been the Pastor of that church for 60 years.
The goal of SOS Events is to see souls saved and the heartbeat of Pastor Marlow is evangelism.
The people were friendly and excited to hear about the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. SOS Events is looking forward to a new team in the Bradenton, Florida area in the near future.
1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Sunday afternoon after church Beth and Wes Walker traveled to St. Clair County Cowboy Church to train 5 men to become SOS Events Ministry volunteers. Mr. Tally trained to lead this group and they all did an amazing job working with the 3 Things God Cannot Do board and understanding the soul winning table. We are so excited to help get them started with their 1st event on September 26th and we know they are going to do an amazing job with this lifesaving ministry
SOS Events Senior Servants met yesterday to get the Life Saver News, the quarterly newsletter, into the mail. There were fewer than usual ladies there because of social distancing.
Two ladies came for the first time, Val in yellow and Bertie sitting next to her. Thank you all for your faithfulness.
Everyone worked hard, but they also had fellowship and food when the work was done.
1 Corinthians 15:58 – Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
