New events are being added to the SOS EVENTS calendar for the September to December busy season. We are thankful for the opportunities God gives us to win souls. Please pray for the workers and the lost that they will be saved.
You can have a part in the blessings. Pray, give and participate. There is always room for more events and more volunteers. SOS Events needs you to help in any way you can. Lost souls are waiting to hear the gospel.

Our friend and fellow SOS Events worker, Randy Thomas had opportunity to speak at a Seniors luncheon at a local church yesterday to promote SOS ministry and get new volunteers and soul winners.
He appreciates the opportunity to speak and preach. If your church or group would like a good speaker for one of your events, Randy is available. He has had many years of teaching and preaching as he has been a Pastor for many years and is now a missionary with SOS. James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
The Bible says that our life here on earth is short and implies that death is unpredictable. How true. That is why we must take advantage of every moment we have.
The most important thing is to be ready. Do you think you have time and are waiting to be saved? Don’t wait any longer. Today may be your last opportunity to ask Jesus to forgive you.
Have unresolved problems in a relationship? Tomorrow may be to late. Restore your broken friendship today.
Things to do you have been putting off until a more convenient time? Do it now.
Give your spouse, child or friend a hug today and tell them how much you love and appreciate them. You have today. Don’t waste it.

I needed a glass insert for my microwave as it had gotten broken. Guests are coming and it was needed right away. No time to order one from the manufacturing company. What to do? Pray and ask for wisdom to find one.
Lighthouse, a local thrift store, came to mind when I prayed. When I entered the store, the first thing I saw was Tom, one of SOS Events workers, with a 3 Things God Can Not Do display board witnessing to people. He was talking and I did not want to interrupt so I asked a store worker for help to find my insert. There was only one in the store and she pointed it out to me. These inserts are hard to find and sell out immediately she told me.
Now Tom was not busy so I stopped to talk to him. Noticing that his display board could use some repair, I went to the car for a replacement that we had in the trunk for another event but had not needed. When I returned with the new display, Tom was talking to a lady who was interested in SOS Events. We exchanged information and a new opportunity for SOS Events to go to a children’s home where the woman worked, to speak and teach young people about Jesus.
An appointed time. Had I not listened to that still small voice and gone to Lighthouse I would have missed a great opportunity for SOS Events.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

October is the busiest time of year for SOS Events because there are so many events that take place.
Fall Festivals, Halloween, Talledega Races in Alabama, Harvest Hayride in New Jersey, Yard Sales and Craft Shows plus the regular weekly or monthly events that continue regularly. Our staff and workers would appreciate your prayers.
As you can see the opportunities for witnessing and soul winning are limitless. The Bible says the laborers are few. If you have a burden for lost souls you can get involved where you are. Go to the donate/contact page and give your information and note that you want to know more and you will have the opportunity to become a great witness for the Lord. The training is FREE.
Matthew 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

A special thank you to all who follow the blog. This week there were many new responses to various posts.
One of the blessings is a Pastor who wants to get into events using the “3 Things God Can Not Do” method of soul winning at events. This could result in a new area in the USA going to Flea Markets where hundreds of people get saved each week in the different cities where SOS Events has booth space.
Another blessing is a training that will take place in just a few hours with a Spanish Pastor and six others who will be going to new events in Florida. The Spanish ministry is expanding and in a short time the “3 Things” will be on the website in Spanish as well as English. Hopefully that will result in more salvations and more Spanish workers.
If you have not explored the home page there is much to give you a blessing there. The Bible studies by Porter Barrington can help you grow in your walk with Jesus.

Fifty-one souls saved at an event in Dade City, Florida on Saturday. What a wonderful harvest of souls. Four SOS Events workers accomplished more in a few hours than most churches accomplish in a year.
SOS Events works closely with the local church to bring people into the Kingdom of God and also to encourage the new converts to join the local church.

SOS EVENTS is constantly working to improve and expand. The response to the new website has been great and now we are planning to put the “3 Things God Can Not Do”, the “ABC’s” of salvation and the Bible studies on the website in Spanish.
It will take a little more time as no one in the office speaks or reads Spanish but we are working on translation now.
Also, we have had many requests for Spanish Bibles and we will be ordering more today as all of the Bibles we had have been given away.
Please pray for the growing Spanish ministry of SOS Events. Over fifty Hispanic people are saved every week through this ministry. Leslie, a home health nurse, came to the Curtis house to change the bandages on Tom’s ankle. As with all the others who have come she heard the gospel and she gladly accepted JESUS as her Saviour.
What an opportunity Tom has had to witness everyday to a different person. We are so thankful that his wound is healing and hopefully he will be able to get back to his regular activities soon. In the meantime he will take advantage of all the opportunities that God gives him to tell others about the Lord.
Please continue to pray for his complete healing and also for the five people who have been saved though this trial.
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
