Alabama SOS Events Training

April 6, 2026

Wednesday, April 1st, starting at 6pm CST. This class will teach us how to share the Gospel while helping to build your confidence with leading someone to know Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful night of Discipleship Training with SOS ministries and Beth Walker Beth Wes Walker. We had so much fun and can’t wait for Lafayette Day to share what we have learned.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16

Jesus Has Risen! Happy Resurrection Day!

April 5, 2026

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. Matthew 26:1-9

Jesus Died For You!

April 4, 2026

John 19:17 & 18 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting

Jesus Praying In The Garden

April 3, 2026

In the quiet darkness of the garden, we see Jesus at one of the most intense moments of His earthly life. He was not surrounded by crowds, miracles, or celebration—only silence, sorrow, and surrender. Yet in that moment, He prayed.

What stands out is not just His anguish, but His obedience. Jesus knew what lay ahead, and still He bowed His will to the Father: “not my will, but thine, be done.”

How often do we pray for God to change our circumstances, but hesitate when His answer requires surrender? The garden reminds us that true strength is found in yielding to God’s plan, even when it is difficult.

Today, whatever you are facing, take it to the Lord in prayer. And like Jesus, trust Him enough to say, “Your will be done.”

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” — Luke 22:42

The Last Supper!

April 1, 2026

And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many. Mark 14: 22-24

There is so much more about the Last Supper as we call it. Please read more about this last meal Jesus had with His disciples before His death. There is so much we can learn about how He wants us to live.

Have A Blessed Palm Sunday!

March 29, 2026

A few days later these very people who honored Him with Palm branches, cried out crucify Him!

Is Jesus your King? Not only on Palm Sunday but always. Do we honor Him with our speech, but not with our heart?

SOS Events Theme for Annual Celebration!

March 28, 2026

“They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” — Daniel 12:3 (KJV)

There’s something powerful about a light in the darkness. You don’t need a stadium full of lights to make a difference—just one shining light can be seen from far away. That’s what God calls each of us to be.

When we serve, when we speak a kind word, when we share the Gospel, we are shining for Jesus. It may seem small in the moment, but heaven sees it differently. Every act of faithfulness, every soul pointed toward righteousness, becomes a light that will never fade.

Our “Shining Bright for Jesus” theme isn’t just a slogan—it’s a calling. Whether at an event, in a conversation, or in quiet service behind the scenes, we are reflecting His light to a world that needs it.

Let’s not dim that light. Let’s shine boldly, joyfully, and consistently—because one day, those lights will shine like the stars forever.

God Answers Prayer!

March 26, 2026

Have you ever had a situation where you were so frustrated and felt like giving up? Then you called upon the Lord and the answer came.

God loves His children and desires that we lean on Him for strength, wisdom and guidance.

When the answer to prayer comes we need to thank the Lord. Sometimes it is then we realize that He was there all the time. Waiting for us to call on Him.

So, when situations come that could make us feel discouraged, stop and call on God. He will answer!

God’s Word

March 25, 2026

“If you wish to know God, you must know his Word. If you wish to perceive His power, you must see how He works by his Word. If you wish to know His purpose before it comes to pass, you can only discover it by His Word.” (C.H. Spurgeon)

Many people from all over the world have an opportunity to study God’s word on SOS Events home page. If you have not used the Bible studies by Porter Barrington, do one today. Each one will give you knowledge and more understanding of God and the Bible.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11
