Today there are two events in the Florida area. Rattle Snake Festival in San Antonio and Classic Car Show in Lakeland. Both are new events for SOS Events so we covet your prayers. Waking up to a light rain is not encouraging but God can move the rain away before the events start.
Please pray for souls to be saved and that the events will not be cancelled. If you have followed this blog you know that two of the big events were cancelled last weekend due to rain. God still blessed and as we look at what He has done in the past we know He once again will bless our efforts.

Patty Mills (on the far left) pictured here with the original Alabama SOS Events team, reported that the now expanded Alabama team has over 30 events between now and November. Wonderful opportunities to win souls to Christ in Alabama. Please keep all of the events in your prayers. SOS Events busiest season is in the Fall all over the Eastern USA.

Reports are coming in for the events held on The July 4th weekend. In Polk City, Fl. Randy and Romona Thomas set up a SOS Events booth at the Land of the Free event. Seven souls were saved, 1 adult, 2 teenagers and 3 twelve year olds and one girl age 11. A 15 year old girl wrote on the back of her decision card, “I learned about my spiritual birthday – I asked Jesus to forgive me for my sins and to come into my heart.”
In New Jersey, Lavana and the SOS Events group went to the Columbus Farmers Market and had 6 people make decisions for Christ, 3 from New Jersey 2 from Pennsylvania and one from Virginia.

There is a SOS EVENTS Training in Pennsylvania tonight. Two couples plan to attend to learn how to present the gospel using the “3 Things God Can Not Do” board and the “ABC’s of salvation” to win people to Christ. Next Friday, June 2nd, they will go to a First Friday event in their hometown to use what they have learned.
SOS EVENTS is once again expanding and growing. God truly is blessing the ministry with new events and new soul winners. To God be the Glory. He has answered the prayers of the staff and workers as we called upon Him to continue to grow and expand SOS EVENTS Minisry.

Our friend and fellow SOS Events worker, Randy Thomas had opportunity to speak at a Seniors luncheon at a local church yesterday to promote SOS ministry and get new volunteers and soul winners.
He appreciates the opportunity to speak and preach. If your church or group would like a good speaker for one of your events, Randy is available. He has had many years of teaching and preaching as he has been a Pastor for many years and is now a missionary with SOS. An idea for an event is a Block Party. Invite neighbors and have food, fun and fellowship. It does not have to be long. Two or three hours.
A church in Lakeland, FL had a Block Party last weekend and about 30 people attended. Three people were saved. Two children and one adult.
That is a great percentage. Ten percent of the people there were saved.
SOS Events calls events like that “Churchyard Events”. The great advantage is that the new converts are already familiar with the church and do not feel uncomfortable to come to church as they have already been on the property and have met some of the church members. Praise the Lord for “Churchyard Events.”

Alice with Lionel, one of the fifteen souls that made a decision to follow Jesus at the Plant City Flea Market this week. Many churches have prayer meeting on Wednesday but the pews are empty and no people come to the Lord. On Wednesday mornings SOS Events staff and volunteers are faithful at this Flea Market and salvations are recorded weekly.
Unsaved people usually will not go to church, but they do go to events to purchase items or have fun. Opportunity for witnessing is unlimited. Weather has a lot to do with when and where events take place. Late Spring and Summertime in Florida the outside events are few because of the extreme heat. While in the northern states Spring, Summer and early Autumn are the seasons when outside events are many.
SOS Events ministry is blessed to have teams in both the North and the South. New Jersey SOS team had their first event for this year (a Flea Market) and there were 8 decisions for Christ. The Alabama team has some schuled events and in Florida there is the monthly car show and also flea markets.
Please pray for all the team leaders and volunteers who are out witnessing in all kinds of weather and circumstances. They witness in season and out of season no matter what.

Twenty-two decisions were recorded at a Trunk or Treat event in at Eastmont Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama this past weekend.
Numerous churches and organizations will have alternative Halloween events for children.
Many children and their parents hear the Gospel at these events.
Halloween is a celebration for multitudes, using symbols of witches, ghosts. and evil things, however, SOS Events Ministry uses this time to present the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus at several events.
God once again has turned evil into good. Praise the Lord.
Genesis 50:20
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
