Times now are uncertain. The news is full of gloom and doom. Weather disasters, Covid-19, Afghanistan, Government scandals, Deaths. It seems hopeless, but as Christians, we have a SAVIOR, JESUS.
In GOD’s Word are many promises. The present may be hard but we have a glorious future to look forward to.
What can we do now? Pray for those who are hurting that you know personally. Pray for families who have lost loved ones in the military. Pray for our leaders in government that have to make decisions. Pray for the Lord to give you peace and comfort.
You have Jesus as your Savior, but is He Lord of your life? Do you allow Him in all the areas in your life?
Seeking wisdom and knowledge of Jesus as Lord is very important if you are expecting to grow and be a successful Christian. Jesus wants to help you, direct you and be your Savior and Lord.
Trusting Jesus gives us entrance into the very presence of God. Jesus is KING of kings and LORD of lords.
Psalms 34:4 – I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
At a fair in Ohio staff from SOS and some volunteers from a local church was working in the booth. Many people walk by and are curious about what is behind the doors on the display. There is always a sign that says See 3 things God Can Not Do.
One man a grandfather kept walking past the sign and finally came over to the staff worker and asked to see what was behind the doors.
He was shown the doors. 1. God Can Not Lie 2. God Can Not Change
God Can Not Let Anyone Into Heaven Unless He is Born Again.
“I’m Catholic”, the man said.
“Are you 50, 75 or 100% sure you would go to Heaven if you died today? The worker asked.
“No, I do not know I am going to Heaven”.
The staff member took Ray to the soul winners table where Ray accepted the Lord then he asked, “Could you get me a Bible? I go to mass every Sunday and after that service I go to a Bible preaching church because I found out there that I can talk to God without going through a priest”.
A few minutes later Ray’s wife walked past the tent and the exact same thing happened. She also was asked the questions, went back to a soul winner and accepted Christ as her Savior.
What a blessing to have a place to witness where people from all faiths have an opportunity to hear that God loves them and they can know Jesus personally. Like Ray said, “I can talk to God.”
Deuteronomy 5:24 And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
Can we rejoice in times of trouble and hard circumstances? Yes.
When my youngest son died unexpectedly, I felt my world crash around me. Did I think I could rejoice? No. However, I was teaching school, 5th grade, and one of my students encouraged me everyday.
We would sing this verse of scripture and find one thing to rejoice about that day. It maybe was as small as a butterfly landing on a beautiful flower or some other seemingly insignificant thing. As the days went by I felt the heavy burden lift and GOD brought true joy back into my life. (Testimony by Carolyn Curtis, cofounder SOS Events Ministry)
If you are going through difficult times, remember, this IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE, find something you can be rejoice about.
Hebrews 9:28 – So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
