How can we have peace in this world of troubles? Wars, illness, poverty, unrest and all the problems we see in our country and even in our own lives.
Jesus gives us the answer in the Bible. Peace comes from knowing and trusting in Jesus. Are the troubles still there? Yes, but Jesus can give a peace that is beyond our understanding.
If you are worried or burdened about anything, give all those burdens to the Lord! He wants to give you peace.
So much time is spent on complaining about the youth of today. On Sunday a great group of teens came to a SOS Events Training and they got excited about telling others about Jesus.
These teens did a wonderful job learning and practicing the 3 Things God Can Not Do. They already are planning to go to a Trunk or Treat at another church in October.
If only we as adults could get as excited about witnessing as these young people did. Please pray with us for more volunteers of all ages to join with SOS Events.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1Timothy 4:12
He saith unto them, Come and see. John 1:39 KJV
The Bible verse is in John. Jesus is talking to two of his disciples. They ask Him a question and He answered with the words, “Come and see.”
When SOS Events volunteers go to an event, they are taught to use the same words Jesus used, Come and see.
Come and see the 3 Things God Can Not Do. SOS Events Training in Avon Park, Florida took place yesterday at Florida Avenue Baptist Church. In this photo a woman is practicing what she has learned. Getting a passerby to come and see the display board.
Training is important. It gives volunteers confidence to go to witness at events.
Do you have confidence to tell someone how they can have eternal life? SOS Events Ministry can help you. The training is not only to go to events but you can have confidence to witness to your neighbors, family and friends.
You can schedule a training in person, virtually or on line. Contact the SOS Events office for more information. Phone: 813-494-7512, email: info@sosevent.org.
The secret to having your prayers answered is found in this verse from God’s Word.
To abide in Jesus daily requires dependence upon the Holy Spirit in which we do three things: Walk by faith. Spend focused time. Engage in intentional actions.
To have your prayers answered, you must abide in Jesus.
This Bible verse is one that can get you through all kinds of trials.
The secret is in the word Will. We will rejoice. It is a decision. Decide to rejoice no matter what!
If you are depressed, sick, have a burden, find one thing that the Lord has done and rejoice in that. It may be a simple as seeing a butterfly or hearing bird calls in the morning. A beautiful sunrise or sunset, whatever you can find to thank the Lord for will bring you comfort in any situation.
You will be surprised that soon your problem will seem small when compared to what God has done. He loves you and wants to comfort you. Choose to rejoice today!
At our church, Fellowship 301, we have been challenged to get out of our comfort zone and meet new people.
On Friday I did that. I determined to do something I had not done before so I went to Joy Fellowship luncheon. That is a group of senior citizens who get together for fun and fellowship.
What a blessing, new people, new friends and some great Christian conversations.
On Saturday, a women’s meeting at another church where the opportunity to discuss the Bible principles with Kathy who I had never met before.
We as Christians need one another. Think of ways you can get out of your comfort zone. Go to a gathering you have never been to before, invite someone to lunch, visit with your neighbor.
The blessing will be yours., especially if you reach out to a person who is not saved.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1John 1:7
Many people read this post. Some are from countries far away. It always is amazing that someone from around the other side of the world are interested in God’s Word.
Today this is for someone who may not know that Jesus not only died, was buried and rose again, but He is going to return to take those who have accepted Him as their Savior to Heaven.
The Bible verses tell it all.
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Sometimes we feel alone and that nobody cares. This note is a reminder that we are never alone if we have trusted Jesus as our Savior.
His promise to us is that He will never leave us or forsake us. Jesus loves each of us so much that He came to this world to die on the cross, was buried and 3 days later arose from the dead, ascended into Heaven and is sitting on the right hand of God, making intercession for us.
Alone? Never. What a Savior!
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will neverleave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
SOS Events Ministry busiest months are now here. Fall festivals, churchyard events, yard sales and many venues coming up.
You can be part of winning people to Jesus in several ways. Let us know about events taking place in your area, volunteer to work in a booth for 3 or 4 hours, support SOS Events financially and most importantly pray for souls and volunteers.
May God give you a wonderful month of September.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Genesis 1:14
