Half Empty or Half Full?

September 4, 2018

Attitude!! Do you look at situations in your life and rejoice? Your glass is half full. Or do you look and say “Oh, no. My glass is half empty.” If you have a positive look you see blessings of a glass half full. Negativity or a half empty glass outlook has no place in a Christian’s life. The Bible tells us to rejoice! Our attitude affect those around us. Example: ” You look great today.” Or “You look tired today.” How does that affect the person you are talking to? It may mean the difference in that person’s day. Let us be careful to be an encourager not a discourager.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Time to Worship

August 26, 2018

Everyday we should worship the Lord when we first wake up, with Bible reading and prayer, but Sunday is a special day when we can gather with likeminded Christians to worship God together. If you are able to go to church today, you will be blessed. If you are not able to go then worship Him in your heart. God desires the worship and praise of His children.

Our Adversary

August 25, 2018

The devil is after YOU. We must be aware at all times that he is trying to ruin our testimony. None of us are exempt from his wicked devises. He makes sin look good and we fall into his trap. Marriages failing, drinking, drugs, anxiety and many other seemingly innocent sins creep into our lives one small step at a time. We must resist the devil and he will flee. Let’s pray for one another, family, friends, coworkers and neighbors, that they and we, will be able to resist the devil.

Are You Glorifying God?

August 19, 2018

“Are the things you are living for, worth Jesus dying for?” Adrian Rogers

Our body should glorify God in three ways, PRAYER, POWER and PRAISE. Prayer without ceasing, power to win souls and praising God continually. Again the question, Are you glorifying God?

1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Success

August 14, 2018

Tom Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry had a favorite passage in the Bible, Joshua 1:8 & 9. Everyone wants to be successful, in business, home and every area of our lives. The Bible holds the key. Follow God’s plan and you can achieve success.

Joshua 1:8 & 9 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Do Christians Face Tragedy?

July 18, 2018

Another sad news story of Christians facing tragedy was posted on Facebook today: “Pray for the ministry of New Life Baptist in Clinton NC. They were headed here to the youth conference and blew a tire. The driver’s young daughter passed away. Others injured, expected to recover.” God does not promise life without trials to the Christian, what He does promise is that He will be with us and comfort us through the trial. If you know someone who is facing a trial in their life today, please pray for them and see if you can be used of God to comfort them. Remember the people who are affected by this bus accident and the Moody Aviation plane crash. Please pray for them.

2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
