For many years in the USA the day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday. People are out looking for a bargain. A lot of shopping for Christmas presents.
We are tempted to overlook the true meaning of Christmas and turn it into a day to get and give gifts.
So today, shop if you must but it is a good thing to put Jesus first in your quest for that bargain.
Remember the greatest gift you can give is telling someone about Jesus. That costs absolutely nothing and it is the most lasting gift anyone could receive.
As every man hath received the gift, even sominister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
This is a page from a church hymnal. Many churches today do not use hymnals anymore, they project the words on a screen. New technology is good as long as we don’t forget that music is to worship the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus.
Today when you go to church worship the Lord by singing from your heart.
Are the words you sing truly honoring Him or do they just make you feel good?
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16
An old saying, “Sticks and Stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” This statement is totally untrue. Our words can encourage, uplift and help someone else, or they can deeply hurt and wound. Once spoken we cannot take them back. God tells us in his word to speak good words.
Really! Do we as born again Christians really believe that if we die we have gained?
Many people have died for their faith. The disciples, martyrs, missionaries and ordinary people who loved Jesus enough to stand for Him even in the face of terrible deaths.
We Christians, especially in America and the Nations in the free world are soft, lazy and contented to live out our lives in comfort.
What if persecution should come. Are we ready? We need to re-examine our faith. To die IS GAIN. We are going to meet our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. Psalms 60:4
“The only flag that will save you is the banner of Jesus Christ” Pastor Francis
Many people are attending demonstrations all over the world, including the USA. They wave flags showing their beliefs, many encouraging war or sinful lifestyles.
They are seeking something that will fill the empty feeling in their hearts. All they really need is Jesus.
Christian, when you see a demonstration, instead of getting upset about it, pray for the people who are demonstrating. Pray they find the truth. Peace can only be found in trusting Jesus as their Savior.
Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. Psalms 60:4
Catherine Booth, the co-founder of the Salvation Army and a pioneer for women of faith, is noted for saying, “If we are to better the future, we must disturb the present.”
How had Paul and Silas turned the world “upside down”? They had been witnessing to the people, telling them that Jesus died, was buried and rose again. Jesus is the Christ. Jason was a follower of Jesus.
How are you helping to turn the world upside down? Fellow Christian, we can have a great revival if everyone who is truly saved would start telling the lost how they can be saved by accepting Jesus as their Savior.
Have you ever made plans to do something and then the plan gets changed by an unexpected problem.
There is a family emergency, someone gets sick or another urgent problem happens that changes your plans.
We are discouraged. Wondering why. If we are trusting the Lord as our Savior, He knows the reason why. This verse tells us that He has what is best for us in His plan.
He holds the future and He has something better for you.
Remembering the people who lost their lives in the destruction of September 11. A day when we realized that the USA can be attacked without warning.
Are we safer today? Probably not. Please join with those of us who love our Country to pray for America. We need to put God back in His place and trust Him for our safety, prosperity and health in our Nation.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord’s name is to be praised. The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. Psalms 113:3&4
