Heading Home

When we are on a journey, business or pleasure, the one thing we look forward to is heading home.

As Christians we are on a journey through life. God gives us many things that are for our pleasure. Family, friends, homes, good food, clothing and many things we can enjoy.

God also gives us work to do for him. Love for others, church, witnessing for Him. Many opportunities to do service for the Lord.

However, we should be longing for Home. Heaven. Are we headed in the right direction? We have a roadmap to follow. That is the Bible, God’s Holy Word.

It is important to check the roadmap on a trip, but more important to check the Bible everyday to keep us on the right road.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16

Saved or Lost

If you are trusting in good works, church membership, money or success, you are LOST! The only way to be saved is to trust in, rely upon the only person who can forgive your sins, that Person is JESUS. He came to earth for one purpose, to seek and to save those who are lost.

If you have never accepted Jesus as your LORD and SAVIOR, now is the time to be saved. At the end of our life there is only one question to be answered, Are you saved or lost?

Pray for Michigan

Today cofounder of SOS Events Ministry, Carolyn Curtis, will fly from Florida to Michigan to speak to a group of Christians about SOS Events.

Then will go to speak to a Pastor about the ministry. All this will take place tomorrow with the expectation of getting a new team of SOS Events volunteers in the state of Michigan.

Please pray that the people are receptive and will be excited to win souls with SOS Events. Also, for the health and safety as Carolyn travels.

Calling All Youth!

SOS Events is calling out to young people who love the Lord and want to learn how to witness.

When you were really little did you learn the nursery rhyme “Mary had a little Lamb.”?

If you did, you can learn how to witness using the simple “3 Things God Can Not Do”

Witnessing is for everyone. SOS EVENTS NEEDS YOU!

Maybe you are a student still in high school or college. You may be just starting out in life looking for something that has real value. Telling others about Jesus is the best thing you can ever do. You will be storing treasure in Heaven for eternity.

Jesus Is Coming!

Today there is no fancy picture. Only scripture. The message that the Lord Jesus wants us to see, read and believe!

  1. 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
  2. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
  3. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
  4. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
  5. 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Thessalonians 4-13-17

Jesus is coming back to receive His born again believers. We do not know the day or the hour, but He is coming. Maybe soon. Are you ready!

Ohio Car Show

August 20, 2022

We had 23 decisions for the Lord Friday night. This includes a man who just came from Morocco and a woman who came from North Africa.

We had two Hispanic young men who received salvation. One could not speak English so his friend served as his interpreter. It was an amazing evening. Praise God!!!

Communication

Have you tried to contact someone who does not answer the phone, email or text? It can be so frustrating, especially if it is important to you.

Communication is vital in a relationship, marriage, family, friendship or business.

There is One who is always willing to communicate with you. God is a prayer away and He is always listening for your call. He answers every call.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Limerick, Pennsylvania

The SOS Events Team in Pennsylvania went to the Limerick Community Day.

They had the privilege of leading 2 people to knowing Jesus as their Savior. Also, one person had the assurance of salvation.

Sometimes we look at the results from an event and are disappointed because more people did not come into the booth to hear the gospel. But it is not our responsibility to bring them in. We must remember that there is rejoicing in Heaven over one person that repents.

Was Limerick Community Days a success? Absolutely! Let us rejoice together and thank you Pennsylvania Team for your faithfulness.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7
