This is the greatest commandment!

This is the greatest commandment!

In America we celebrate the working men and women with a special holiday. It is the people who work hard at whatever occupation they have who have made our Country great.
However, there is a special group of Christians that we need to honor today. That is the leaders and volunteers who labor in God’s vineyard who work diligently to proclaim the Gospel to a lost and dying world.
Wishing the leaders and volunteers of SOS Events Ministry a very blessed Labor Day! May you continue to work for Jesus winning people to the Lord. Today take some time to enjoy this day and get ready for a very busy and prosperous Fall Season.

Ed and Rhonda went to the Car Show again on Friday evening and God blessed with 10 salvations.
SOS Events Ministry is blessed to have this couple as well as many others who obey God’s command to go into the highways to give people the plan of salvation.
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. Luke 14:23

Sometimes we feel alone and that nobody cares. This note is a reminder that we are never alone if we have trusted Jesus as our Savior.
His promise to us is that He will never leave us or forsake us. Jesus loves each of us so much that He came to this world to die on the cross, was buried and 3 days later arose from the dead, ascended into Heaven and is sitting on the right hand of God, making intercession for us.
Alone? Never. What a Savior!
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will neverleave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

SOS Events Ministry busiest months are now here. Fall festivals, churchyard events, yard sales and many venues coming up.
You can be part of winning people to Jesus in several ways. Let us know about events taking place in your area, volunteer to work in a booth for 3 or 4 hours, support SOS Events financially and most importantly pray for souls and volunteers.
May God give you a wonderful month of September.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Genesis 1:14

There have been days that I have not felt like rejoicing. During times of illness of myself or loved ones. When my spouse went home to be with the Lord! Grief.
But, God’s Word tells us to rejoice. Is it possible in difficult circumstances. Yes, if we have a true relationship with the Lord Jesus, He gives us the ability to rejoice in our hearts.
Do we shed tears? Of course, but we have a Savior that gives us inner joy and peace through the most trying times.
So today, if you are having a good day or a difficult day, stop, rejoice and thank the Lord for His blessings.
Today a plea goes out to all Christians who are retired or about to be. Do not “retire” from serving God. Most of you who are in good health or even if you have some problems, can be used to bring souls to Jesus.
Get busy, the time is short. Some of the ways God can use you: Hand out tracts when shopping or at a restaurant. Participate at your church in some area of service, the nursery usually needs volunteers. Prayer, even if you can not get out you can pray. The most needed resource for any church or ministry is prayer.
Get involved with a ministry. SOS Events is always looking for volunteers to go to events. 3 or 4 hours a week, a month or even a year would be a great blessing.
Follow the Lord’s leading. SOS Events founders were 62 and 64 when the ministry began 20 years ago and since that time over 80,000 souls have made decisions for Christ. You are not too old so let’s get busy for the Lord.
Psalms 71:18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come

“Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:”
2 Thessalonians 1:11 KJV
Pray for your Pastor today. Especially as he preaches. That he may have the power of the Holy Spirit, that people would be convicted of sin and that the unsaved will see their need for the Savior, Jesus.
