15 saved in 30 minutes

April 9, 2010

On Saturday, Tom and Carolyn had the privilege to work at a church in Georgetown, KY. The weather was rainy and windy but children came out for an egg hunt at the church. The plans were to set up a tent to win peole to the Lord but weather did not cooperate. Plan B was set up a table inside the church and pray for the people to come in. They came and in less than 30 minutes 14 adults and one child came to know the Lord. God sends them in. One lady,  Mary sat at the soul winning table and cried. Carolyn led her daughter, son and son-in-law to the Lord, and Tom was in prayer with the another daughter and son-in law. Mary said “Now all my prayers are answered. My whole family just got saved.”

What a blessing.  God works when we are  available.

Happy Easter

March 30, 2010

The staff of SOS wishes everyone a Happy Easter. May you all be blessed with the assurance of Heaven because Jesus came into the world to die for our sins. Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shall confess with thy mouth and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” This is a promise God gave us in His Word, the Bible and He can not lie. We can know we have eternal life.

3 saved at Easter Play

March 28, 2010

March 27 Three adults were saved at an Easter play in Hendersonville, TN. This event was special as it was bus kids who acted in the play and their parents who attended. A mom, dad and grandfather wanted to be saved at the end of the performance. What a blessing for SOS to be able to participate in this event. Many churches have discontinued their bus ministries at this time for various reasons but we rejoice to see some churches that continue to reach bus kids and their parents. We pray that more churches will get involved bringing people to the Lord through bus ministry.

235 Decisions at Fl Strawberry Festival

March 15, 2010

2010 has been a blessed year so far for SOS. The response for training and working at the Strawberry Festival was more productive than ever. There were 15 trainings to get ready for the festival. A total of 48 new soul winners actually worked in the SOS booth.
This was the first year that we did not import workers from other places with the exception of Don and Shirley Riegel who come every year from Ohio. They are SOS staff who are responsible for the Midwest states. They help with the training, oversee new workers and do whatever they can to help during Strawberry Festival time.
If you are a pastor or church leader  in the Midwest States and would like to have training and do an event contact Don Riegel donandshirl@toast.net.

Testimony from SOS office

February 12, 2010

A delivery man came to the SOS office awhile ago and Tom invited him in. Of course Tom asked him if he knew the “3 things God Can Not Do”. When Carlos said, “No.” Tom went through the presentation and Carlos was wonderfully saved.
He wanted to call his wife to tell her the good news. Her response was, “Are you drunk?”
Tom then got on the phone and reassured her it was real, and she was very pleased. She was a Christian and had been praying for her husband.
The presentation of the gospel using “3 Things God Can Not Do” is a simple, nonconfrontational and positive way to present the gospel. If you would like to know more, please contact our training center at 813-784-8242. Also, you could email at http://www.sosevents.org.

33 Saved at Manatee County Fair

February 4, 2010

Luk 15:10 “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” What great rejoicing in Heaven over the results at the Manatee County Fair in Palmetto, FL.
A great start to the new year. SOS is thankful for the workers that give their energy and time to be in the booth.
It truly is a labor of love for our Lord. God is so good that He will even give reward to each soul winner.

Manatee County Fair

January 22, 2010

The Manatee County Fair is going on right now. SOS has trained 2 churches to participate in the fair. Tom and Carolyn Curtis went to Palmetto, FL to help with opening night. 5 people came to know the Lord. One couple both in their late 70’s stopped by the booth and came in to get saved.
As they were filling out their decision cards the gentleman told the soul winner that he had talked to Tom last year but did not make a decision then. One year later, the Holy Spirit worked on his heart and both he and his wife were saved.
Some plant, some water but God gives the increase. Please pray as there are 3 days remaining at that fair.
Pray for souls, workers strength and conviction of the Lord to draw people to the booth.

Blessed New Year from SOS Events

December 30, 2009

Our staff wishes everyone a Blessed New Year. You can be a vital part of this ministry through prayer and/or support. God blessed SOS with faithful staff, volunteers and supporters in 2009 and our prayer is that He will do even greater things in 2010.
Prayer requests are: good health for staff, wisdom for the schedule, safety when traveling, new workers for SOS and most of all many new converts in 2010.
