May 11, 2018Yesterday, SOS Events had an appreciation luncheon for the volunteers who worked at Strawberry Festival this year. The Festival was in March but this was the first opportunity to thank the workers of that event. The luncheon was well attended and food, fellowship and testimonies were great. The focus was on the Lord and His faithfulness as He gives strength and wisdom to the volunteers of SOS Events to continue to win souls at events.

God’s Creation

Carolyn Curtis recently took a trip to Peru with her daughter. When traveling to various parts of the world where everything is new and different is exciting, a little overwhelming and wonderful all at the same time. Peru has many different areas where climate, culture and customs vary, just as in the USA. It makes us realize how Great God is. His creation is beautiful. In Peru there is desert, mountains, jungle and seaports. All beautiful in the diversity of each area. So wherever you are, look around and see the beauty in God’s Creation.

Traveling
May 1, 2018Outside of the USA, we find difficulties because of language, culture, weather difference and living accommodations. The area may be beautiful, the people great, and the food delicious, but it is not our home, we are just visiting. When we come back to our home we are happy because there is no place like home. That is how we as Christians should view our time here on earth. There may be difficulties, but we have Blessings also. We are just passing through. Someday we will reach our heavenly home and we will be joyful and glad to reach our final destination. To spend eternity with Jesus will be coming home.
John 14:2-3 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Unconditional Love
April 24, 2018Don’t let your past determine your future. Look to God for the truth. Don’t let the past steal you from the joys of today. The Lord has so much for you. I pray you will take time to read His Word daily and talk to Him through prayer then watch how he will guide you. He wants to walk with you every minute of the day, you are so important to Him. Ask Him to open your eyes to the truth of His unconditional love for you. See yourself through His eyes.
Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV) says, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Encouragement
April 22, 2018Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. Have a Good Morning

Some people have to start their day with a cup of coffee. They feel they cannot function without that coffee in the morning. Others have a certain routine that gets them moving without coffee or breakfast. However you start your day, there is one thing that is essential, that is having time to communicate with The Lord with Bible reading and prayer. Don’t have time you think. Your day will go much better if you start it with Him.
Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
