Carolyn Curtis, SOS Events cofounder, was asked a question by a funeral director. The conversation went like this:
Directory: “People have told me when at the funeral home that they will never die. What did they mean? I do not understand that. That is better than a lottery ticket.”
Carolyn: “They are probably born again Christians. What they mean is their bodies die but their spirit does not. We all never die spiritually, we will live forever but where we spend eternity depends on what we do with the Lord Jesus now.”
Carolyn then gave him a gospel tract and will be praying for his salvation.
Matthew 25:46 – And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

November is the month that in the USA we celebrate Thanksgiving. We need to be thankful everyday not just one day a year. Especially when we are facing problems in our lives is the time we need to stop and reflect on how good God is to us. Here is a challenge for you… every day for the rest of the month thank the Lord for at least 3 things to be thankful for. Try to find mew things each day. You will find your spirits lifted and your relationship to God will be closer each day.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Some people love Mondays because they have a job they enjoy, or they have made special plans for the week ahead. Others dread Monday. School, work or other responsibilities seem to be overwhelming. The Bible tells us to rejoice and be glad. That is a choice. We can choose to be miserable or we can decide to rejoice in the Lord no matter what thee circumstances. what is your choice?

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
At a recent Car Show where SOS Events had a booth, an older man came over to sit down and the conversation went like this:
SOS volunteer: “Do you know the 3 Things God cannot do?”
Man: ” I don’t believe in God.”
As the conversation continued for several minutes the man was persistent with reasons he did not believe in God and the volunteer tried to show him from the Bible what God says about salvation, Because he did not believe the Bible is God’s Word, finally, the conversation ended with these words:
Man:”I hope I didn’t upset you.”
SOS volunteer: “The only thing that upsets me is that I am looking into the eyes of a man who I will not see in Heaven.”
Sometimes, a person does not listen to the Holy Spirit as we witness to them. God is not willing that anyone should perish, but some people’s hearts are hardened. The only thing we can do is to pray that they will have their eyes opened and the tract we gave them or something we said will take root and they will be saved before it is too late.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

SOS Events will have booths in many events this weekend in several States. Please pray with us for souls to be saved, volunteers to be filled with the Holy Spirit and good results for all. Your prayers are a vital part in the success of SOS Events Ministry.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Many events take place in October, but the weekly event that goes on all year is the Flea Market in Plant City, FL. Last week there were 5 Salvations. Please pray with SOS Events Ministry for new volunteers for this event. Spanish speaking people are especially needed.
Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

The song lyrics ” Holy Spirit you are welcome here” was being done at Delta Baptist Church. SOS Events Ministry was welcomed with open arms and hearts. We would like to thank Pastor Clay Lovelady for the opportunity to share the Gospel using the “3 Things God Cannot Do” board with a large part of Delta Baptist Church recently. We pray for this church as they go forward and also pray something they saw during the presentation will make them want to be a part of SOS Events Ministry.
Philippians 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

At an event recently, a woman saw the SOS Events display board with a little red tag in the corner. She was so excited. In 2004, Tom and Carolyn Curtis went to her church to present the ministry and she never for got the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. When she realized that Carolyn was the one that was talking to her, she went to get her husband and 3 friends meet the cofounder of the ministry. All 5 of them have the desire to become a new team with SOS Events. An answer to prayer 15 years after meeting. We never know when our sowing will bear fruit.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
