What is your story?
January 21, 2021Everyone who is saved has a story. How did you come to know the Savior, Jesus?
There are many testimonies that have been told:
A man who went by a church, heard the music and walked in, asked the usher how he could be saved.
The little girl who went to church and when the alter call was given followed the soul winner out of curiosity and trusted Jesus as her Savior.
The man whose lost his son in a tragic accident. Before his last breath, the son asked his Dad, will I see you in Heaven?
The person who was about to commit suicide and picked up a tract, read it and was wonderfully saved.
What is your story? You need to tell it. Write it down. Tell it to someone in person or through social media. Your story could touch someone’s heart and be the very thing that will cause them to accept Jesus.

A Verse For Christians Today
January 20, 2021
On this day, Christian, we need to especially be in prayer for our country.
Are we humble? Seeking God’s Face? Praying? living a life with sins forgiven and trying to please The Lord?
That is what it will take to turn our country back to God. Not just by a few Christians, but by everyone who is truly born again.
Opportunities
January 19, 2021
Witnessing to people is more difficult today than it has been in the past. Social distancing, masks and fear of contracting illness has kept us from talking to others.
Normal places to witness like a grocery store, waiting for an appointment or any public place has become almost impossible.
As a Christian, what can we do? Take advantage of every opportunity. Freely give out tracts. Put them in a restroom, in letters that you send out. Use email, phone calls or any form of communication to tell people about Jesus. If you are able to join SOS Events and go to an event to witness.
Be creative. Think of ways you can tell others about the gospel. It is our responsibility to be a witness for the Lord Jesus.
Have a Blessed Sunday
January 17, 2021“Just sayin’…Church is important. Gathering together as a group of believers is important. Encouragement from the Word and other believers is important. I’m not sure where you are today. Maybe you are tired…be renewed at church. Maybe you are depressed…be uplifted at church. Maybe you are discouraged by the church itself…be reconciled at church. Maybe you have lost your way…be directed at church. Church…Christ died for it. It’s important. Be thankful if you have a choice of church today. Some people do not have a church they have a choice to attend. You do. Be thankful. Go to church. It’s important.” Joy Bowker Crockett
Quote from the wife of a Pastor. She has so much truth and wisdom that her comments are worth reposting. Thank you, Joy.
Ephesians 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Pray For Your Pastor
January 10, 2021
The coronavirus has caused many problems for Pastors. Each Pastor has many decisions to make that involve not only his family but the people in his congregation.
As the churches begin to open again, it is the Pastors responsibility to keep people safe, give everyone encouragement and most importantly preach the gospel.
Pray for your Pastor today. Tell him or send him a note to be an encouragement to him.
1 Timothy 5:17 – Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
Romans 15:30 – Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in [your] prayers to God for me;
(This is reprinted from when coronavirus began, but even more important today)
A True Saying.
January 4, 2021“Seven days without prayer makes one weak“
A sign on a church that is so true. Start everyday with prayer and Bible reading to have a strong Christian faith.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.
Recipe For A Good Day
January 2, 2021
The second day of a new year. Every day is an opportunity to draw closer to Jesus.
It is a good time to start daily communication with God with Bible reading and prayer. Take time for God to speak to you as you meditate on what you have read.
The best time is when you first get up. Your day will go better if it is started with Jesus.
Stockings A Christmas Symbol
December 14, 2020
If you think about it, it’s a bit strange for someone to put goodies in an old sock. But like many Christmas traditions, the tradition of Christmas stockings comes from an old legend.
A long time ago (so the story goes), a poor man had three daughters and couldn’t afford to give them a dowry (money or goods given to the groom’s family by the bride’s family). In those days, it was very hard for a woman to get married without a dowry. A Christian bishop named Nicholas heard about the problem and wanted to help, but the man refused to accept money. One night, Nicholas threw three balls made of pure gold in through the open window of the man’s house. Each one landed in a stocking hung by the fire to dry. The next morning, each daughter found a gold ball in her stocking. With this bounty, they were all able to get married.
Stockings can remind us of the importance of service. The greatest example of service is Jesus Christ. He always “went about doing good” (Acts 10:38).
Take some time to think about the Savior’s selfless acts of service. How can you give Christlike service and show kindness to others?
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
