We make choices every day. We choose what we wear and what we eat. Where we go. We can choose to be happy, sad or grumpy.
The most important choice we will ever make is to accept Jesus as our Savior. The next choice is a daily one, serve the Lord today in our speech and action.
Can you rejoice when things go wrong? Sickness, death of a loved one, loss of job, children on drugs or some other tragedy in your life. YES!
We don’t rejoice about the situation we are in, we rejoice that we have a Savior, Jesus, who walks through the problem with us.
It is ok to cry and even ask why, but we should never forget that God is there.
You may be questioning how I would know. I have been through many tragedies in my life time, the death of 2 sons, a grandchild and 2 wonderful husbands.
Tears and mourning, of course, but God is good. His love and mercy are always there.
There are things in life that we all struggle with! Maybe it’s fear. Fear of sickness, lack of finances, or something else.
Is your problem an addiction? Alcohol, drugs, smoking, over eating.
Even good things can become a problem. Too much television, games, anything that we do that takes the place of serving God and family.
Laziness, hatred, gossiping. All these things the Bible addresses. These are the things that we don’t talk about, but they are constantly on our mind. How do we overcome these problems in our lives?
Jesus is the answer. First, we must be sure we know Him as our Savior. Then we must trust Him to help us overcome whatever our problem is causing us to focus on the wrong thing.
Daily turn that problem over to Jesus through prayer. Find verses in the Bible that address your problem. Memorize those verses and when you are tempted to do what you are trying to overcome, repeat those verses and turn to something else to replace that desire.
You can have victory over your problems, but only if you give them to Jesus and trust Him to help you.
Wednesday, the middle of the week. Have you had a good week so far?
Maybe you’ve had a great week or it may have been terrible.
However your week is going there is one thing that the Bible tells us to do. Rejoice!
It is easy to rejoice when things are going great, but not so easy when there are trials and trouble.
God‘s word tells us to rejoice. It is a decision. We can make up our mind to rejoice regardless of the situation. Try it. God is with you and he will never let you down.
The Fourth of July celebration is over for this year. Many people will go back now to the same old routine, forgetting why they even celebrate it in the first place. Forgetting that we celebrated freedom and our wonderful USA.
Some people do that after they’ve accepted Jesus as their Savior. They go back to the same old routine, forgetting that they are now a child of God.
If you are someone who has forgotten that you have been forgiven, that you are a new creation in Jesus, and that your life needs to change.
Go back to the foot of the cross. Ask Jesus to forgive you for forgetting his great love and ask him to help you make a change in your life. He is waiting for you!
Today, let us take a few minutes before we get our day started to pray for America. Land that I love. As we see the deterioration of our beloved Country, let us Christians humble ourselves and pray. Let us ask God to heal our land. He is the only one who can.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God Bless America!! Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July weekend!!
America has been blessed by the Lord since the founding of our great nation. However, our freedoms are being taken away as the focus has turned away from God. America as we have known it will have the blessing of God taken away if we do not get back to loving and honoring the one true Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today, stop for just a few minutes before the picnics, parties and fireworks and pray for our country that we may return to the only hope of peace and freedom by the true worship of the Lord.
Psalms 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
There are many people from other countries who will read this. To you this verse from God’s Word is true for your nation as well as America.
Isaiah 43:10 – Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Time is running out! Jesus is coming back. Maybe soon. People are dying without hope of eternal life. It is our responsibility as Christians to tell them how they can be sure of Heaven. Jesus is the only way.
Are you doing what God commanded us to do? Go and tell.
Maybe you have fear, don’t think you know enough or don’t think you have time. SOS Events Ministry can help you.
God has mad it so simple. 3 Things God Can Not Do is a non confrontational way to present the gospel.
Start witnessing today before time runs out
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16
When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are no longer the person we were. Our sins have been forgiven and we should be changing and growing.
Old sinful habits should be distasteful to us. Maybe it is bad language, temper, an unforgiving spirit or some other sin that we need to get rid of.
As we read the Bible, listen to godly music, go to a good church where the preacher speaks the truth from God’s Word or it may be that still small voice in our heart. These things help us to grow and become that new person God wants us to be.
