What Is Faith?

How can we have faith in God when our world seems to be falling apart? Disappointment, illness, accidents and many things happen in our lives to make our faith waver.

Faith is knowing that God is in control. Trusting Him even when we cannot understand why things are going so wrong. God does not promise Christians a trouble free life, what He does promise is that He is with us every step of the way. He will and He does work things out for our good.

You may ask me how I know. Today, I can Praise the Lord for taking me through the death of 2 sons, a grandchild and 2 Godly husbands and other trials and heartaches. God has never left me or forsaken me but always brings what I need when I need it. He uses those things in my life to bring encouragement to others. That is what faith in God does for me and He will do the same for you if you have faith in Him. The evidence of things unseen. Carolyn Curtis

See 3 Things God Can Not Do

1. God Can Not Lie Titus 1:2

2. God Can Not Change Malachi 3:6

3. God Can Not Let Anyone into Heaven Unless He is Born Again John 3:3-5

Are you 50, 75 or 100% sure if you died today you would go to Heaven?

A. Admit you have sinned. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD.”

B. believe on The Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 “That if thou shall confess with thy mouth and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised Jesus from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

C. Call upon The Lord. 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord, shall be saved.

Call upon The Lord by praying. Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner, I believe you died on the cross for forgiveness of my sins, I ask you forgive my sins, come into my heart and make my life new. I receive you as my Savior. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

Alabama Blessings

Saturday was another amazing day under the SOS Events ministry tent at Santuck Flea market.

The rain in the morning couldn’t dampen the spirits of these beautiful smiles as these young ladies surrendered their lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior. We were blessed beyond measure with 8 people that made the decision to make Jesus the Lord of their life and will be followed up with Bible study and lots of prayers.

Our Spanish partners had a fantastic day as well with 3 people giving their lives to Jesus and will be visiting their church soon. We are so thankful for John Balint, Patricia Sides and Carl Norton for giving their time Serving Our Savior.

Oh how the Angels are rejoicing over these precious souls saved!!!

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 5:7

Pray For Your Pastor Today!

Your Pastor needs your prayers. Pray he will be filled with the Holy Spirit as he preaches.

Pray he will not get distracted by people bringing problems to him before the services.

Encourage him with kind words.

Pray for his family.

Pray for his personal needs.

God has given him to you. Learn to appreciate him and let him know you are praying for him.

SOS Events Senior Servants

May 3, 2024

On the first Thursday of each month, a group of special ladies meet to help get the “Life Saver News” ready for mailing.

Usually there is 18 or 20 women come to help, however, yesterday several of them were unable to come because of illness or family emergencies.

Most of the ladies who are part of this group are elderly and many have serious health problems but they want to be part of SOS Events. They truly love the Lord.

The Bible verse for today is for them. An encouragement to trust the Lord even when in pain or other things that can keep us in discomfort.

Thank you Senior Servants for your faithfulness to SOS Events.

National Day of Prayer

Today is a day set aside for prayer. Be thankful that we live in a Country that still sets aside a time to pray.

We are blessed to have the privilege of freedom to worship.

Take time today to pray for the USA. Pray for peace. Pray for leaders that will continue to uphold our freedom.

Pray that people will turn to the Lord for salvation. Jesus is the only true way we can have peace.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
