Did you remember to set your clocks ahead? Those of us who live in certain States in the USA have a time change twice a year and a lot of us do not like the change. Our internal time clocks have readjust to the one hour difference. If you are one who loves “Daylight Saving Time” or you would rather stay on “Standard Time” there is one thing we as Christians should remember. God’s timing is always perfect. Maybe He is amused at our attempt to make time change. There is still 24 hours in everyday no matter what the clock tells us. This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Originally the vision for SOS Events Ministry was to have teams in every state of the USA, and that is still a goal yet to be reached. However, over the years, Christians have taken “3 Things God Can Not Do” to other countries. Germany, England and Portugal to name a few. Recently a team from Alabama went to Belize in Central America where 34 decisions were recorded. Also, many people from 92 countries have visited the website and had opportunity to be saved. To God be the glory, great things He has done. Praise the Lord for His blessings.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The Strawberry Festival is a once a year “big” event. Only 3 more days to go. Please continue to pray for souls. However, we must not minimize the “smaller” regular events. The Plant City Flea Market is a great example. On Wednesday this week 17 precious soul came to know Jesus. There is a fable about a Tortoise (turtle) and the Hare. The hare (rabbit) is faster but the turtle is slow but steady. At the end of the race the turtle won. The Strawberry Festival is like the rabbit, many souls get saved in a short period of time, but the regular weekly event wins more souls by the end of the year. We are blessed to have the opportunity to witness at events both big and small.
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

SOS Events Ministry has many wonderful volunteers who work in the booth at events and we are thankful for everyone. This week we were extremely blessed to have two retired Pastors work in our booth, both for the first time. Jay, 85 years old, talking to two people at the display board and David, in his 70’s, witnessing from the smaller display. Cynthia, mother of 5 and not a senior citizen, is at the table. Jay and David loved working with SOS Events as it gives them opportunity to do what they love best, telling others about Jesus. If you are retired or know someone who is and wants to witness in a non confrontational way for a few hours when needed, SOS Events is the perfect place for you.
Isaiah 43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.

Emma, A little girl, 7 years old, wanted to know how to be 100% sure she was going to Heaven. She came into the booth with her mother and listened intently as the soul winner explained the plan of salvation. Emma prayed and trusted Jesus as her Savior. When she got up to leave she actually was jumping for joy. Everyone in the booth smiled at the pure joy of a child who now knows she is going to Heaven.
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Some people are skeptical about Salvations at the SOS Events booth. God is the One who does the saving. The volunteers are doing what He commanded by telling people how to be saved. Bob a young teenager was at the Strawberry Festival a few years ago, where he saw a “3 Things God Can Not Do” tract that someone had thrown out. He read it, asked Jesus to be his Savior and started attending a youth group at a local church. Bob is still serving the Lord today. This story is evidence that God uses the faithful team members of SOS Events Ministry to bring people to the Lord. He promises blessings and that our “fruit” will remain.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

While most of you will be in church today, volunteers from SOS events ministry will be winning souls at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida. God has blessed with 50 people who have made decisions for Christ the last three days. Praise the Lord. Please continue to pray for people to be saved today and for the remainder of the festival.
James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Yesterday in the SOS Events booth at Strawberry Festival, a woman (we will call her Sue) and her husband came over to see the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. As she talked with the volunteer at the display she was openly weeping. She was greatly distressed because one of her family members had taken her life just a short while ago. Sue finally consented to come back to the soul winning table and talk with the soul winner. Still crying she listened as the soul winner told her of the love that Jesus had for her and that she needed the peace and comfort that only Jesus can give. Hearing the plan of salvation, Sue and her husband both prayed and invited Jesus to be their Savior. Immediately, the tears stopped and a small smile came across Sue’s face. The peace of God had touched her heart. What a blessing to take part in a Ministry where lives are changed. The SOS Events slogan is “A life saving ministry” and we see the evidence at every event.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

SOS Events has some simple rules that are to be followed when witnessing at an event. Years of experience, common sense, prayer and God’s Word were important in the planning and setting guidelines for the team members to follow when working at an event. Rules are made for the protection of the workers, the ministry and most importantly the people we are witnessing to. Sometimes there will be someone who think they can bend the rules or just ignore them. This can cause problems. For instance, the Rule: We must get parents permission to talk to children. If we do not follow that rule it can cause a parent (rightfully) to be upset and we loose opportunity to witness to that family. We as Christians have rules or ordinances to follow set up in God’s Word for our protection and fellowship with Him. Rules called ordinances are a good thing for us to follow.
I Peter 2:13 & 14 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
