What a blessing, 167 people gave their lives to Christ at the James Dean Festival this year in Fairmount, IN. This festival runs for 3 days and it rained (poured) the first day, but 40 souls were saved. What a temptation to close up and go where it was warm and dry but we chose to stick it out and what a harvest God gave us.
Saturday dawned sunny but cool and we had a good number saved that day. Then Sunday came, along with the wind. Our tent actually lifted off the ground and finally we had to take it down but did we quit? NO!! And once again God gave the increase of many souls that day. Ending with a total of 167!! God is so good and faithful and He wants us to be faithful also, and truly the windows of Heaven opened and showers of blessing was the result.

October 16, 2009 by events4uAfter 1 month of travel Tom and Carolyn are back in the office for a few weeks before traveling again. Many exciting things happened on their travels which we will post in the coming days.
One great answer to prayer was when a truck towing a trailer went out of control right in front of the motor home on busy I-85. As the truck spun around in the middle of the road Tom & Carolyn prayed for the safety of the people in the truck. The miracle was all traffic stopped before hitting that truck, including a huge 18 wheeler, and of course Tom’s motor home. When the truck finally came to a stop on the side of the road, Tom got out and ask the man if he had ever seen a miracle. The man said, “No.” Tom told him, “Well, I just witnessed one” and led that man to the Lord right on the side of the road. Isn’t God great.

On Friday I went to help with our James Dean Festival Outreach. We got there about 11 a.m. and spent the entire day until about 8 p.m. working our evangelistic booth. We teamed up with Tom & Carolyn Curtis of SOS Events who are seasoned soul winners and what a great three days of witnessing too and winning of souls for the Lord. On Friday it rained much of the day and the crowds were smaller but by the end of the day we had seen nearly 40 teens and adults give their lives to Christ. Each sincerely repented and prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior. Last night in church we were given the final count of those who received the Lord. It was reported that 167 people had come to know the Lord. Praise the Lord! What great stories behind each conversion. I will take some time this week and share some of these beautiful stories. But not only were people saved but more were witnessed to and the seed was sown and for many others the seed was fertilized. Thank the Lord His seed will never go return void.”

Wonderful results in NJ
September 18, 2009 by events4uWhat a blessing when Tom and Carolyn Curtis went to NJ this past weekend. The event was Septemberfest in Hamilton. 72 souls were saved at the event. Not only souls were saved but some of the teens that came to Florida for training last month worked in the booth and led many to the Lord.
What a testimony to the church and to other teens who saw their friends leading people to the Lord. One of our prayers for SOS is to make a difference in Christians lives and we want especially to focus on young people. If they can catch the vision to win souls at a young age then they have the rest of their lives to witness without fear. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness to use this ministry to reach both Christians and the lost.

What is SOS Events?
SOS Events is a ministry started to reach people, to do what God commands and spread the gospel.
The Bible teaches there is only ONE WAY to get to Heaven:
A. Admit that you have sinned. “For All have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD. Romans 3:23
B. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. “That if thou shall confess with thy mouth and shalt believe in thine heart that GOD hath raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans10:9b
C. Call upon the Lord. “For whosoever (you) shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
PRAY:
Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner, I believe you died on the cross for forgiveness of my sins, I ask that you forgive my sins, come into my heart and make my life new. I receive you as my Savior. Thank you, Jesus. Amen
If you do these things you will go to Heaven.

Bo Henry and a small group of workers set up a tent at a “Health Fair.” 15 people were saved in just 6 hours. This was a Spanish ministry. Some of the workers were bi-lingual. Praise the Lord. SOS has the “3 Things” Tracts in several languages. Contact SOS if you would like tracts.

August 7, 2009 by events4uThere was a woman, who had been watching the booth from a way off, and when we least expected it, she bypassed the sign “See 3 things God Can not Do” walked right around it and sat down at the soul winners table. She said, “I have to know this!” She had tears in her eyes. Apparently she knew the woman at the table when their children were little. She accepted Christ and was thrilled.
Praise the Lord for every soul that comes to know Jesus at an event. SOS Events sees many souls saved through the Power of the Holy Spirit, who uses trained workers that work at an event. Pray for the new Christians who have been saved.
