Wednesday Record

June 11, 2015

Many people are happy to see Wednesday come each week because it is the middle of the workweek for people who work. At SOS Events we love to see Wednesday come because it is an opportunity to win souls at the Plant City Flea Market.

This week was exceptional as 25 decisions were recorded. Randy Thomas is pictured here with Maria one of the Spanish people who received JESUS as their Savior.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Opportunities

June 6, 2015

Leslie, a home health nurse, came to the Curtis house to change the bandages on Tom’s ankle. As with all the others who have come she heard the gospel and she gladly accepted JESUS as her Saviour.

What an opportunity Tom has had to witness everyday to a different person. We are so thankful that his wound is healing and hopefully he will be able to get back to his regular activities soon. In the meantime he will take advantage of all the opportunities that God gives him to tell others about the Lord.

Please continue to pray for his complete healing and also for the five people who have been saved though this trial.

Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Changed Lives

June 2, 2015

Seven years ago Tom and Carolyn Curtis had the privilege of teaching a Bible class at Hendersonville Christian Academy in Tennessee. On that day two students from China received JESUS as their Savior. A young lady whose name is Stephanie and the young man was James.

Today, Stephanie is completing her education with a master degree at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

James, in the photo with Mr. William Slater, Head Master of Hendersonville Christian Academy, now works at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

What a blessing to have a part it changing lives of young people here in the USA and all over the world. The Bible tells us to go into all the world and preach the gospel but sometimes the Lord give us opportunity and sends people from other countries to to us through SOS Events Ministry.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

66 New Salvations

May 22, 2015

It is always a joy to have Pastor Romero and his wife Maria stop in for a visit. Sometimes the communication is a little difficult because of the language barrier but the fellowship is always sweet.

When he prays in Spanish we do not understand one word but the Holy Spirit is there and we feel His presence.

Yesterday they stopped by to get some supplies and brought 66 salvation cards for SOS to process and record. What a blessing. Maria is a wonderful soul winner and so humble she hides her face if she is given any recognition. This couple loves the Lord and are faithful servants.

Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Home Health Nurse Saved

May 18, 2015

Tom is home from the hospital and a nurse comes to the house to treat the wound on his foot. Paul was one of the nurses.

He said he is one of only 6% of all the nurses who are male and Tom was blessed to have him come to the house. As they talked the conversation turned to the subject of salvation. Tom as usual handed Paul a tract and asked him if he had ever seen the “3 Things God Cannot Do”

Paul said he had never heard about the 3 things.

Tom told him: 1. God cannot lie. Titus 1:2.    2. God cannot change. Malachi 3:6.   3. God cannot let anyone in heaven unless they are born again. John 3:3-5.

Then he asked Paul if he had ever been saved. When Paul answered “No” Tom proceeded to explain the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

Paul bowed his head and invited JESUS to be his Savior.

Romans 8:38 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Rejoicing in Time of Trouble

May 11, 2015

One of Tom Curtis’s favorite verse is Romans 8:28. Being in the hospital is not always the most pleasant experiences, but Tom is not ever going to let an occasion to witness pass him by.

One of the nurses, a woman from Jamaca originally, was taking care of him and he asked her if she had ever invited JESUS to save her. This was after they had talked about the Lord at length.

She replied that she knew about JESUS but never had trusted Him to save her. In that hospital room, Roxanne, bowed her head repented of her sin and ask the Lord to forgive her. There is rejoicing, even in circumstances that are not easy.

Please pray for Tom as he is a diabetic and has a circulation problem in his feet that may require surgery. Also, he is scheduled for his heart pacemaker to be changed, but that will probably be put on hold until his foot heals. JESUS is the great physician and can heal. Thank you for your prayers for him.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Today’s News

April 28, 2015

Luke 21 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. …………. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Turn on TV or listen to the radio and we see things that are spoken of in many passages in the Bible. Read Luke 21 and then compare it to the news today. Riots in the streets of America and countries in the Middle East, earthquakes, wars and commotion everywhere. But there is good news, JESUS is coming soon. Are you ready? If you have trusted JESUS as your Savior, rejoice, It may be today!

If you have never invited JESUS into your life, don’t wait. Jesus died on the cross, and rose again for payment of your sins. Pray for forgiveness of all your sins and turn from them, ask JESUS to come into your life and save you. He loves you and is calling you to come unto Him. Don’t wait until it’s to late.

Today is the Day of Salvation

April 19, 2015

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

If you are not 100% sure you are going to heaven, do not wait to invite JESUS to come into your life.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call upon JESUS now. Pray: Dear Lord Jesus, I admit I have sinned. I am sorry and want to turn from my sins and I invite you into my heart and life to save me. Thank you for dying on the cross as payment for my sins. I accept You as my Savior. In Jesus name. Amen
