Most of all give honor and glory to the Lord Jesus.

Most of all give honor and glory to the Lord Jesus.

In America a day is set aside to honor our military who have fought and some have died for our freedom.
The Bible tells us of another who died to set not only the citizens of the USA, but everyone in the world who accepts His death, burial and resurrection as truth. His name is Jesus.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Galatians 5:22

In God’s Word we are told that we can have joy in every situation. The joy of the Lord is my strength. when we have trusted in Jesus as our Savior, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. He gives us joy.
Joy is listed as the second fruit of the spirit. If you are lacking joy, feel lonely, fearful or depressed, ask Jesus to help you return to the joy you can have by trusting in Him.

You may have a beautiful home or you may be living in a place of poverty. You may not have a home at all and have no earthly possessions. Whatever you have or wherever you live will not matter when you get to Heaven.
How do we lay up treasures in Heaven? We must be sure we are going there by trusting in Jesus for forgiveness of sin.
Obedience to God’s Word. Loving God with all your heart and loving one another.
Telling others about salvation. There is a crown for soul winners. All our treasure in Heaven we can lay at Jesus feet. He is the One who is worthy of all our love, devotion and treasure.

Jesus! In God’s Word, the Bible, Jesus has many names. He is the beginning and the end.
If we don’t know anything else, the one thing we must know and believe to have eternal life is that Jesus died on the cross, He was buried and 3 days later He rose from the dead.
Once we know and accept Him all the other things that He is will become clear.
Jesus is our rock, our advocate, our redeemer and friend. Look at some of Hiss names in the image above and Praise Him for all He has done.
1 Corinthians 6:11 – And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Have you ever been away from your home and felt homesick?
As Christians we should be longing for our permanent home which is Heaven. The cares of this life overwhelm us at times.
Even in good times, like getting married or having a new baby, we should still have a desire to look to our heavenly home, Heaven.
Think about the joy of seeing our Savior, Jesus! Reunion with loved ones who have gone on before us. Not to mention the wonderful plans Jesus has for us that we cannot even imagine.
Homesick for Heaven!

Low in the grave He lay—
Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day—
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
2
Vainly they watch His bed—
Jesus, my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead—
Jesus my Lord!
3
Death cannot keep his prey—
Jesus, my Savior!
He tore the bars away—
Jesus my Lord!
This hymn says it all! Jesus arose! He is not dead! He is my Savior!

Jesus is dead. The tomb is sealed. The disciples are in shock and grief. Is there no hope?
The days between the crucifixion and resurrection must have been really hard for the followers of Jesus. The One they had put their trust in, the One who was going to be King. Confused, sorrowful and disappointed they probably did nothing. Some waited together and others waited alone. People react differently when someone they love dies.
Today there are many people who have the same reaction to Jesus. Some doubt. Some do not believe in Him. Others reject Him. They do not realize what He can do for them.
Today is the day before Resurrection Sunday. Are you like these people or are you excited about tomorrow? The tomb did not stay sealed. The stone rolled away and JESUS arose. Let us celebrate the glorious resurrection not only tomorrow but everyday. JESUS lives…
Mark 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

John 19:17 & 18 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
