Oh be careful little hands what you do Oh be careful little hands what you do For the father up above is looking down in love So be careful little hands what you do
Oh be careful little feet where you go Oh be careful little feet where you go For the father up above is looking down in love So be careful little feet where you go
Sometimes we are tempted to do something we shouldn’t. Taking something that does not belong to us. Maybe it is just a small thing from work or something we found and do not look for it’s owner. Whatever tempts us to do something we know we shouldn’t is sin.
Where we go is important also. Going anywhere that is not pleasing to God can cause us to fall into temptation to sin.
Be careful what we do and where we go is good advice from the children’s song, but it is even more important as adults.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Sometimes SOS Events does not have opportunity to have a booth at all events. This was the case in Alabama recently.
Carl Norton and Dale Brown decided to go into the Shakespeare Festival and walk around talking to people. The 3 Things God Can Not Do is an effective way to witness one on one.
They had 3 people accept Jesus. One was a little girl that was there with her mother.
Waiting to go to an specific event to tell others about Jesus may not always be possible, but God will bless if we use every opportunity to make our own “event”.
Jesus was the example when He talked to the woman at the well. The account is in John chapter 4.
Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. John 4:6-7
Oh be careful little ears what your hear Oh be careful little ears what you hear For the father up above is looking down in love So be careful little ears what you hear
Another lesson from a children’s song. What are we listening to? We need to be careful to listen to things that are pleasing to God.
Music is especially important. It can honor God or can be very worldly and lead us into temptation.
What about our conversation? Do we listen to a off-color joke by one of our coworkers or do we try to steer the conversation to please God?
Radio, TV, or social media once again can be uplifting or cause us to sin by what we hear. Today let’s make the decision to only listen to things that are pure.
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21
Oh be careful little eyes what you see Oh be careful little eyes what you see For the father up above is looking down in love So be careful little eyes what you see
This little children’s song we sang in Sunday School many years ago. For the next few days we will look at the Bible verses that teach no only children but adults what we should do to be obedient to God’s Word.
What we watch or read are images that are hard to forget. Today the temptation to watch sinful things are everywhere. TV, social media on our phones or computers.
If that is a problem let us determine in our hearts to only watch what is pleasing to God.
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: Psalm 101:3
Welcome! It is a wonderful blessing to have you join our daily blog on the SOS Events website.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19 & 20
People from over 100 countries have been reading God’s Word on the blog in the last few days.
Praying that each one has gotten a blessing and that they will go further and do the Bible Studies offered on line.
More importantly that people may go to the home page and have opportunity to be saved with the 3 Things God Can Not Do.
Christians please pray for even more people to be drawn to the website and accept Jesus as their Savior. Then continue to grow in their faith.
If you have a need or even a want the first place you should go to get it is prayer. The Bible promises if we seek the Lord first in our lives all things will be added on to us.
Sometimes, God does not give us what we want because he knows best. He knows what we need.
God never fails to take care of His children and he will meet all our needs.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Sometimes we make plans that seem very important to us at the time. Then something comes up, and those plans change. Maybe there’s an accident, a friend needs our help, or we cannot do it because we get sick. We are extremely disappointed and wonder, WHY?
God has allowed our plans to change. Remember, God loves us and He knows why. He may reveal the answer, but often He does not. That is when we need to trust Him all the more. He can turn our plans into His plan. The whole direction of our life can turn around in the change of just one of our plans. Are we trusting Him with our disappointments?
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5&6.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Looking forward to something special. The dictionary definition: the act of looking forward especially: pleasurable expectation
Are you looking forward to an event in your life that causes you to have great anticipation? Maybe it’s an upcoming birthday, a wedding, a new home or a dream vacation.
Sometimes we look forward to something and it is even better than what we expected. Other times, things are a disappointment.
There is one event that every Christian should be looking forward to with great anticipation. That is the day when the Lord, Jesus comes in the clouds and we will meet Him in the air.
