The Christmas Star

December 11, 2021

It’s hard to go anywhere during Christmas without seeing stars hanging from street lamps or sitting on top of Christmas trees.

The star is one of the most recognizable symbols of the holiday. It represents the star that appeared in the sky when Jesus Christ was born. The star led the Wise Men to Jesus and reminds us to follow the light of the Savior just as the Wise Men followed the light of the star to find Him.

Have you found Him?

Matthew 2:1&2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

Wreath, Symbol of Eternal Life

December 4, 2021

The wreath has significant meaning for the season. It’s circular shape represents eternity, for it has no beginning and no end.

For a Christian, it represents an unending circle of life. The evergreen, most frequently used in making wreathes, symbolizes growth and everlasting life.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.
John 10:28-30

December is Here!

December 1, 2021

What a wonderful verse to start with for the month of December! God does supply all our needs.

Some people have abundance of money and material things. Others have very little. The Christmas season is a time for giving. It is not the cost of the gifts, it is the gift given from the heart that counts.

A phone call, letter or an invitation for a meal can mean more than the most expensive present in the world. Your time with your friends and family is the most meaningful gift you can give.

God wants the same thing. You can give a large offering, go to church or do some charity work, but the most important thing you can give to God is time to read His word, pray and then tell someone else about His special gift, the Lord Jesus.

Thanking God For All His Blessings To Us!

November 30, 2021

This is the last day in November, a special month to praise God for all His blessings to us. As we look now to the Christmas season with all the hustle and bustle, let us continue to thank Him every day for His goodness.

We get so busy at the Holidays that sometimes we forget the true meaning of Christmas. Starting tomorrow we will be looking at some of the wonderful traditions of Christmas and how they relate to the birth of Jesus.

Then we will look at some of the ordinary people GOD used to bring about the wonderful truth that God sent Jesus to be our Savior.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ephesians 1:3&4

Good Morning!!

November 29, 2021

Most of us start our day with a cup of coffee. The most important way to start our mornings though, is to spend it with Jesus. We must not neglect to read His Word and pray. That is a perfect way to start our day along with the coffee.

Psalms 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

The Perfect Gift

November 26, 2021

The next 30 days for a lot of people will be the busiest time of year preparing for that perfect Christmas gift. Shopping in crowded stores, looking at catalogs, shopping on line.

The best gift you can give anyone is telling them about Jesus. For your unsaved friend, coworker or relative their best gift would be receiving Jesus as their Savior.

For your Christian loved ones a time of fellowship, a phone call or a message. Your time is more precious than any gift you could possibly buy.

Enjoy the Christmas season but don’t forget the best gift ever given…..Jesus.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Be Thankful For Everything

November 24, 2021

Sometimes it is hard to be thankful. Problems, sickness, even the death of a loved one or friend. Thankful? Yes.

Because God can turn the worst circumstances into blessings if we trust and wait on Him.

We can allow bitterness to overtake us. It is impossible to be bitter when we are thanking God. Will you be bitter or better?

Thankful for Old Hymns

November 23, 2021

The old hymns honor God. The melody is beautiful.

New songs sometimes miss the mark because the name of Jesus is not even mentioned. Some of them could be talking about anyone, a friend or spouse.

Let us be sure as we sing that the message in the song is true to the Bible.

Enjoy a verity of music but don’t forget the old hymns that truly honor our Savior.

Ephesians 5:19 – Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Thankful for Joy!

November 22, 2021

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22 & 23
