If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
In Disney’s movie Bambi, Thumper gives some good advice about how we speak to one another.
The Bible tells us many times to be careful of our words. The old expression, “sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me” is not true.
Our words can wound, discourage and cause great harm or can encourage, lift up and make someone’s day a blessing. Let us ask God to help us speak kind and thoughtful words.
Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
If you don’t know elections are coming soon, just go to your mailbox, turn on TV or radio and the political adds are everywhere. This year more than ever it is important that we get out and vote. You can also vote by mail.
However, the most important “vote” we can ever do is to decide that Jesus is the One who takes away sin and brings comfort and peace into our lives. No politician can do that.
John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Pray: Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner, I believe you died on the cross for forgiveness of my sins. I ask that you forgive my sins, come into my heart and make my life new. I receive you as my Savior. Thank you, Jesus. Amen
Pastors have burdens that are far above the average Christian. They need to be renewed by the Spirit everyday. Family, church congratulation, administration and many things that are heavy on their hearts, especially at this difficult time in the world.
Your Pastor has to make hard decisions about when to open doors of the church to everyone, should we sing, should we have class, what about the children. I need to protect my family.
Please lift your Pastor in prayer. And really bless him by asking what you can do to help. A kind word or a note might make the difference in his life today.
Revelation 15&16 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
This senior citizen, who witnesses at events with SOS Events in New York State, loves the Lord so much that when there is no events to go to, he will stand by a street to remind people who Jesus is.
Some people, even Christians, may think he is a fanatic or even a little crazy, but he is not ashamed of the Lord Jesus.
God commands us to spread the gospel and we don’t even go tell our neighbor. Go to an event? You say you could never do that. Maybe never telling anyone about Jesus.
SOS Events Ministry is a perfect way to learn in a non confrontational way how to tell people about Jesus and salvation. The “3 Things God Can Not Do” is a perfect way to witness. Check out the training video on the home page.
Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Mark 8:38 – Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
One of the problems in the USA Today is that our children are not taught the true history of our Nation.
America was founded because men and women wanted freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion.
Children learned to read using the Bible as their guide. Love for God and country, obedience to parents and teachers, respect for one another.
We have a great country, blessed by God. We must not forget our heritage. As parents and grandparents we must make sure our children learn the true history of the USA 🇺🇸
Psalms 16:6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Tomorrow is Father’s Day in the USA. God tells us to honor our Father, Mother and also our neighbor. What can we do to show honor to the ones that are closest to us?
Respect, good manners, listening and helping are ways we can show honor. We should not need a special day to show honor to anyone, but everyday should be a day to honor the ones we love.
