This past week I was at the doctors office waiting to take a stress test. It happened to be on a day when I was stressed. My phone kept ringing because people wanted to know if SOS Events annual meeting was still going on. I was sitting in the doctors office for almost 1 hour. The office was empty and still they had not called me.

I was getting more stress by the minute. Finally, I ask the nurse who opened the door when they were going to call me, and he said they had no paperwork on me. Another 10 minute wait. By now my stress level was really high, my blood pressure was higher than it has ever been.

I thought for sure I would fail the stress test. I had to sit in the tall chair for 10 minutes without moving or talking. During that time I kept quoting Bible verses that I had learned over the years. Immediately, I felt total peace and calm.

Yesterday I got a call from the doctors office and I had passed the stress test. I know that it was God’s word that calmed my heart, brought my blood pressure down and allowed me to pass this test.

All the praise goes to the Lord. And a reminder to hide God’s word in our heart for a time such as this.
