Choice or Command?

August 6, 2022

Many Christians think that witnessing to others is a choice. They choose not to tell others about how Jesus died, was buried and rose again.

God tells us in His Word that it is a command. Every Christian is told to “go.”

You may think you have an excuse. Too old, too young, much to busy, or whatever you think will excuse you, but you will someday have to stand before God and give an account.

Are you afraid, don’t think you have enough knowledge? SOS Events can help you with a simple method that is non confrontational and easy to learn.

The greatest thing about going to events to witness is that people come to you. The “3 Things God Can Not Do.” Can be used at events, when visiting family or friends and anywhere you happen to be.

Be obedient to God’s Word and find someone you can tell about Jesus today.

And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation. Psalms 35:9

God is Blessing in Lockport, New York

August 4, 2022

The SOS Events Team who came together in Lockport, NY were blessed on the first day of the Niagara County Fair with 17 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior.

Please pray that the next 4 days will have even more souls saved and on their way to Heaven.

Also, pray for a man who would not surrender to the Lord. He was just not ready. Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him and he will have a change of heart.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Pay Attention!

August 3, 2022

Do we really pay attention when we read the Bible or do a Bible Study? Are we ready to believe everything someone tells us about God’s Word?

Yesterday there was a mistake in the Reference to the Bible verse in this blog. Did you see it? Is there really a book in the Bible called coronavirus? NO!

The reference should have been Corinthians, but in haste the reference was not checked. We need to pay attention when studying God’s Word.

Someone did catch the error and actually the staff of SOS Events laughed over this mistake. We do apologize for the error, but it has taught us a lesson.

10 Salvations!

August 2, 2022

What a blessing! 10 people saved at a Elks Car Show in Toledo, Ohio.

Ed and Rhonda use their antique car for opportunity to witness at car shows with SOS Events Ministry. They truly go to car shows for the honor and glory of God.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Coronavirus 10:31

Praise the Lord for 18 Salvations

August 1, 2022

In Florida many children are getting ready to go back to school. Turkey Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, had a Book Bag give away. 18 people made a decision to follow Jesus.

Children need school supplies and they were given a book bag filled with school supplies.

Pastor, David Jones, always gives SOS Events opportunity to win people to the Lord when there is any kind of event at the church. That is a great blessing to SOS Events and new people to come to the church.

Churchyard Events are the best because people are already familiar with the church.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14

Worship

July 31, 2022

This old hymn is a beautiful way to honor God in worship:

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be

Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love

Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside

Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me

Do Something!

July 30, 2022

Do something for the Lord. Pray, give, go. Maybe you can not doe all of these things, but you can do something.

Everyone can pray. Most of us can give. Some of us can go. SOS Events needs you! Do something!

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Colossians 3:23

My Jesus I Love You!

July 29, 2022

1 My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou art mine;
for thee all the follies of sin I resign;
my gracious Redeemer, my Savior art thou;
if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

2 I love thee because thou hast first loved me
and purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree;
I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow;
if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

3 I’ll love thee in life, I will love thee in death,
and praise thee as long as thou lendest me breath,
and say when the deathdew lies cold on my brow:
If ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

4 In mansions of glory and endless delight,
I’ll ever adore thee in heaven so bright;
I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow:
If ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now

This is an old hymn written many years ago by a young man, William Featherston, only 16 years old. What a great gift to future generations.

However, today in many churches the old hymns with heartfelt meaning are no longer sung. How sad.

Can you join with me an say “my Jesus, I love you.” He loves you.
