Looking out from an airplane window we see at the beautiful snow covered Mount Rainier. What a sight to behold.
Anyone who travels the world in a plane, has the privilege of seeing the earth from a birds eye view They can see the panorama of God’s beautiful creation.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1
My Jesus, I Love Thee My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine; For Thee all the follies of sin I resign. My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
I love Thee because Thou has first loved me, And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree. I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
I’ll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death, And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow, If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
In mansions of glory and endless delight, I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright; I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow; If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
William Ralph Featherston, 1864
William Featherston was only 16 years old when he penned the words to this great old hymn.
Very little is known about him as he died at 27. However, he sent the poem to his aunt who lived in California and she had it published.
God used this young teenager to write a poem that is still sung today. His love for Jesus and his understanding shows in the words of this song.
This old hymn is a beautiful way to honor God in worship:

There may be reasons you can’t go to church today. Illness, work or weather may prevent you from being in church. Many places in the Northern United States have cancelled church today because of snow, ice and dangerous driving conditions. If you cannot go use this time to gather round your family and read the Bible and pray together. If your are alone what a great opportunity to fellowship with the Lord without distractions.
Some people have not attended church service for months because of coronavirus. There are many opportunities for you to worship virtually. Do not neglect time to worship, not just on Sunday but everyday of the week.
Psalms 29:2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, and was very old. She was a widow, for her husband had died when they had been married only seven years.
Probably, after her husbands death, Anna would have been encouraged to get married again and have children. Anna, chose to stay single. She chose to serve the Lord. She chose to fast and pray, worshiping the Lord day and night. She told people the news of the Savior that was coming, no matter how long it might be before he came. She knew her purpose and she didn’t let anyone’s opinions or comments keep her from it. Then Anna saw Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus in the temple and knew her purpose had been fulfilled.
Luke 2:36-38 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption i
