Do people need to be trained to win souls? To witness at an event with SOS Events Ministry they do. Why? Sometimes Christians have fear or feeling of rejection. At a public event there are many things that need to be followed to be a successful soul winner. Getting a persons attention and presenting the Gospel in a short amount of time. What to do with children when a parent is not present. How to handle objections and many more things to be an effective witness.
SOS Events provides answers and encouragement to Christians when they come to a training. It gives them confidence and boldness, realizing that they will work together with an experienced team at the event. This time of year in Florida, several trainings are scheduled. Strawberry Festival in Plant City is 2 weeks away and workers are invited to join us in the harvest of souls.
The most important training, however, is prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit.

It is hard to believe that the Florida Strawberry Festival is 3 weeks away. The excitement of the opportunity to win people to the Lord is building. There are still decorations to be made for the booth, several trainings to get new workers, finalize the schedule and many things to numerous to mention. (2018 photo)
Please pray with us for a wonderful harvest of souls at the Festival this year. All the work that goes into a large event is worth everything if only one soul gets saved, but we are setting a goal and praying for 300.

How was your month? Most of us have had many days of cold weather and our soul winning opportunities were few. Do not be discouraged. It is a great time to plan for warmer weather. Looking for future events? Look on line to your local Chamber of Commerce. Many events are free or of low cost to a non profit organization. SOS Events qualifies. You have to go shopping, hand out a tract or witness to the person in the checkout line. When you mail a letter, put a tract in it. Witness whenever and wherever you can. February starts tomorrow. New month, new opportunities. Let us spread the message of God’s love.

These two girls are students at Zephyrhills High School. They came to the Pigz in Z’Hillz Festival to have a good time. Interested in the 3 Things God Can Not Do, they came and talked to Dena, who led them to the Lord, using the A B C’s of salvation. These girls did not know when they came to this event that they would leave knowing that they would go to Heaven.
SOS Events volunteers have the joy and privilege to lead people to the Lord. Many of the workers are retired, like Dena and her husband, Glen, but they continue to Serve Our Savior faithfully. SOS Events goal is to spread the gospel to as many people as possible. You could share in the joy of seeing people’s lives changed by volunteering to work with SOS Events. You will receive training, encouragement and everything you need to become a witness and soul winner, not only at events but in your everyday life. Come join us.

Most of the USA to the north of Florida is having cold weather, in Florida the days are sunny and warm. This past weekend, SOS Events had a booth at the Pigz in Z’Hills. An annual event that featured all kinds of food and fun.
In the picture above are four young people who trusted Jesus as their Savior. In the center is Alice, SOS Events Event Coordinator. She also, works most Events, schedules workers and keeps up correspondence with the many churches and volunteers. When anyone calls the main office it is usually Alice who answers the phone. What a blessing to have faithful workers, especially when they have a heart for winning souls to Christ.

Once in awhile, volunteers for SOS Events has a booth at an event and no one gets saved. That is unusual, but this past weekend that is what happened. We get discouraged until we remember that it is not us that wins the souls it is the Holy Spirit that draws them and convicts of sin. We never know what a tract, a word spoken or prayer will do. God blesses the seed of the Word in His timing. Praise the Lord for faithful witnesses. God will give the increase. We need to keep sowing the seeds.
1 Corinthians 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

The internet can be a tool used by Satan to corrupt people’s minds, it can also be a great blessing. Everyday, when checking the stats on SOS Events blog, it is amazing how many people from other countries follow the posts. Everyday people from all over the world have opportunity to get a message from God, using this website. People from over 90 countries outside the USA have been encouraged. Many go to the Bible Studies or go to the home page to find out the 3 Things God Can Not Do.
This blog started many years ago, with posts only occasionally. Then as the response grew the posts became daily. Thank you to everyone who reads and follows this blog. Our prayer is that Christians grow in the Lord and the unsaved respond to the gospel and be born again. Thank the Lord, Jesus, for the Internet and the opportunity to witness to people all over the world without leaving the office.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Yesterday at the Plant City, Florida Flea Market 15 people accepted Jesus as their Savior. What a great start to the New Year. SOS Events is looking for new events, new Leaders and Trainers, new volunteers and the most important new souls to be saved. What a wonderful opportunity to begin the new year, with a desire to see souls come to Christ. If you have not been involved with soul winning, now is the time. Christmas is over, time to take down the beautiful decorations and keeping in our hearts the memories of Christmas 2018. It always makes me sad to put away those wonderful things that make Christmas special every year. As we put away the lights, tree, nativity sets, let us not put away the truth of Christmas, Jesus was born into this world to be our Savior, and it is our responsibility to tell others. So let us make a resolution to be better witnesses in 2019, and Serve Our Savior with more zeal than we ever had before.
Acts 26:22-23 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.:

We talk about things like the weather, politics and even religion with friends, neighbors and perfect strangers. Conversations that are really not important in view of eternity. What is important is turning those conversations into witnessing so that they will hear the gospel and have an opportunity to go to Heaven. SOS Events has a simple way to turn any conversation into what is important by just asking the question, “Do you know the 3 Things God Can Not Do?” That is not confrontational and most people will respond favorably. Turn your everyday conversations into life changing talk.
