God’s accuracy may be observed by the hatching of eggs….
For example:
The eggs of a potato bug hatch in 7 days
Those of a canary in 14 days
Those of a barnyard hen 21 days
The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days
Those of a mallard 35 days
The eggs of an ostrich and parrot in 42 days
(Notice that all these numbers are divisible by 7, the number of days in a week.)
More on how awesome God is in Creation next time.

How great is our God!
November 28, 2012True Faith
November 13, 2012HEBREWS 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
In times of trials faith in God’s promises is what we need. Pray for the staff of SOS as we have seen trials in the last few weeks but God is faithful. Praise His name.
God is With Us in Time of Trouble
October 31, 2012Psalm 46:1-3 (KJV)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. [2] Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; [3] Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
These verses regarding the roaring water speak to what is currently going on in a large part of the Eastern portion of our country. It is very clear that we should not fear the rages of nature. Our Heavenly Father is in charge of it all. He allows these things to admonish, teach and prepare us for things He needs is to understand.
So many do not understand why God would allow tragedies. He is ultimately patient with us. There does come a time when He must get our attention. On most occasions He does this quietly and on an individual basis. Sometimes it is in a loud, large and public way. Natural disasters are one of those ways. They get our attention and the attention of the world.
2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Do these events change us to look toward God? I would say most of the time, they do not. We forget so quickly. We do not learn from the past. We do not remember our cries to Him in times of trouble. Be sure of this, God never forgets.
Isaiah 49:15 (KJV)
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Pray
October 19, 2012Rejoice
October 12, 2012The song “this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it” keeps running through my mind today. No matter what the circumstance we can rejoice in the Lord. Rejoice today and encourage someone who is down today.
James Dean Days with the Riegels
October 10, 201296 Decisions at James Dean Days
Another successful year at James Dean Days in Fairmount, IN. Don and Shirley Riegel joined Tom and Carolyn Curtis for this event. John Shultz, brought a new group from his church to be trained and a total of 16 new workers are now ready to continue winning souls in Indiana.
3 churches participated, Liberty, Sweetser, New Hope, Gas City and Twin Cities, Marion.
Two young men came to the booth who had been saved in previous years. One pulled out a tract dated September, 2008! It was so tattered from being in his wallet for 4 years that it was falling apart. He was given a new one just like it and told to put the original in a special place as a reminder of when he got saved.
The second young man saw Shirley and came over to thank her for leading him to the Lord last year. He is following the Lord and in a good church.Shirley Riegel and young man she lead to Lord in 2011
SOS is blessed to have new salvations and then to have some come back and thank us for being at the event.
Signs work
October 4, 2012Tom and Carolyn Curtis have a sign on the rear window of their car “Do you know the 3 things God can not do?”
Driving down the road in Toledo, OH, Carolyn’s phone rang. The ID gave a Ohio-phone number and when she answered, a young man said, “I am following you and I want to know the 3 things God cannot do.”
Carolyn then shared with him, “God can not lie, Titus 1:2, God can not change, Malachi 3:6, and God can not let anyone into Heaven unless he is born again, John 3:3-5. Are you 50, 75, or 100% sure if you died today you would go to Heaven?”
Ryan was not sure but would like to be.
After explaining to him the gospel, Carolyn told him not to close his eyes but to invite Jesus into his heart.
Ryan was saved and so happy. Here is a young man 20 years old who was curious and was not afraid to make a phone call.
Signs on our vehicles do bring results.
Praise the Lord!
October 1, 2012We give Praise to the Lord for the 96 souls saved at the James Dean Days Festival in Fairmount, IN this past weekend.

Obedient or Embarrassed?
September 21, 2012One of these days some simple soul will pick up the Bible, read it and believe it. Then the rest of us will be embarrassed we have adopted the convenient theory that the Bible is a Book to be explained, whereas first and foremost it is a Book to be believed and after that to be obeyed.
If you are one who believes and obeys the Bible and wants to share it, we’d like to hear from you. Give us a call.
