When the hurricane hit Florida several events moved from October to November. Bethany Baptist Church is one of the events that SOS Events has participated in for many years. This year 20 people trusted Jesus as their Savior.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Psalm 68:19
Saturday, SOS Events Ministry in Alabama, had the opportunity to be at 2 separate events and the Lord Blessed greatly at both!
These 3 young men came by the ministry tent at the Lineville Car Show and after hearing the Gospel shared wanted to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
4 more young men came back to learn more about their walk with Christ and after hearing scripture shared they are now 100 % sure they are going to Heaven.
SOS was also at Santuck Flea Market. An awesome day in the Lord with 4 precious souls being saved after hearing the Gospel message shared and had many more conversations with people that needed encouragement and understanding.
We are so thankful for this life saving ministry and are grateful for another day to Serve Our Savior.
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
As Christians we can us Halloween to glorify Our God and Savior Jesus.
How? Many churches have “Trunk or Treat” events. If your church has one and you decorate your car and give out candy, also, give a tract with it.
When children come to your home, asking for a treat, give them candy but again make sure they have a tract that will tell them about Jesus.
SOS Events will have 2 events tonight, what is our main purpose? To use this opportunity to see many ask Jesus to be their Savior.
We have a few of volunteers who set up a table in their yard with the “3 Things God Can Not Do” display. They give out candy and the Gospel. God blesses the events with people accepting Jesus as their Savior.
So today, turn this night of sometimes evil things happening into something good by using it to glorify God. Please be in prayer for the events that are taking place with SOS Events tonight. Pray souls will be saved.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21
Griffin Baptist Church in Lakeland had a community event on Saturday. God blessed with a great crowd and 17 people accepted Jesus at the SOS Events booth.
Everything there was free but the greatest thing those 17 people received was the gift of God, His Son Jesus.
Thank you to all SOS Events volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to work this event and 2 more on Saturday.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58
Yesterday a phone call came in to the SOS Events home office. Nan called to ask for a Bible Study.
She went to the National Fair in Alabama, where she heard the gospel and accepted Jesus as her Savior, but did not give the volunteers her information.
The Lord has been working on her heart and she realized she needed to start a Bible study.
Then she asked Val (the SOS office assistant) if she could get Bible studies for her children. She sent 6 names and addresses for her family to get those Bible lessons. Pray that these family members will be saved.
There are times when the SOS Events volunteers may think that they are not getting through to people, but God works on the hearts. He wants to get the glory and we cannot see all He does. Our work for the Lord accomplishes what He wants even when we can’t see it.
SOS has finished at the Alabama National Fair. A total of 29 decisions for Christ. God blessed with 22 people who prayed and received salvation.
Sometimes there are those who have doubts about their salvation and just need assurance that God has truly forgiven them, 7 people prayed for assurance.
It is always a blessing to have 3 new volunteers who filled out testimony sheets. At events we also try to get Christians to get active in witnessing with SOS Events. There were 7 people who gave us their info and want to learn more about SOS ministry.
The home office gets what it needs from the Alabama Team to document this event.
It was a struggle to find volunteers to fill the spots needed and Carl and Patty were the take down crew – God is still in the business of miracles because getting all of the booth stuff into our cars and back into the closet was a miracle!
We know God will continue to work in and through those willing to share about His son.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
Grateful! That is how I feel today. Coming home to view the destruction of the property that the hurricane, Milton did.
I am amazed. All around there are fallen trees. On the SOS Events office, the carport where the classic car and my personal vehicle is housed. (Both vehicles not damaged)
The SOS Events office has a gigantic tree that took out an attached air conditioner, leaving a hole in the wall and roof. The tree still needs to be removed so repairs can be made.
Then there is my home, in the middle of it all and it is perfect. Not touched by the storm. It looks like God put His hand on the house and would not let the wind or fallen trees touch it.
I look up at the tree that hangs over the house. Huge branches fallen everywhere but not on the house. GRATEFUL! Thank you, Lord for your care and protection.
Thank you to the volunteers who came and cleared what they could.
I appreciate everything that has already been done.
There is still much to do but God will provide what is needed.
