Are you praying for something that seems impossible? One of the greatest promises in the Bible is Jeremiah 33:3.
God can do great and mighty things in our lives if we call on him, believe that he will answer our prayer.
The greatest thing He can do in our life is to save us from our sin. If you are not sure you’re going to heaven, call upon Jesus, believing that His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave was payment for your sin.
What we think about controls how we live and react to every situation in our lives.
God tells us in His Word what we should think about.
If we think about things that make us not trust God, we become worried and fearful.
This one verse tells us how to overcome anxiety. Let us decide today to think on good things and ask God to help us to think about the things in this verse that will bring peace and joy into our lives.

John R. Rice was one of the greatest preachers on soul winning in times past. He was a man of few words unless he was in the pulpit but when he spoke people listened.
This quote reminds me of a story I once read about a little boy on the beach. He was throwing starfish that had washed up on shore back in the water. There were hundreds of them. An old man came along and asked the boy why he was throwing them back in the water. “You can’t save them all. You can’t even tell the difference. There are still hundreds of them.” As the little boy picked up another starfish, threw it in the water, he said, “It makes a difference to this one.”

This great hymn was written in a time of tragedy. The Spafford family had lost their small son in the same year 1871 as the Chicago fire. He also suffered financial problems due to the fire.
Hoping a voyage would ease the pain of loosing the son, Horatio sent his family on an ocean liner to Europe, planning to join them later.
Their 4 daughters died in the shipwreck (pictured above). His wife survived the wreck.
On his way to meet his grieving wife, passing the spot where his daughters died, Horatio G. Spafford wrote these words.

And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts, your minds through Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:7.
In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth and everything in it.
God speaks to us through His creation. A sunrise or sunset, the sky at night, a beautiful flower or the birth of a newborn baby.
Even the unbeliever can look at what God created and see His handy work. Then knowledge begins to dawn on him that there is God. That is the first step toward salvation.
