A salvation while putting up a yard sale sign? Yes and amen!! Handed a man who was walking a tract and bottled water and Carl went through the 3 Things God Can Not Do and the ABC’s of salvation with him and he accepted Christ! Will follow up with him with an encouraging note and a home visit. Praise the Lord!

Yard Sale in Alabama

June 13, 2016 A brother and a sister were walking by us along with their Mom’s boyfriend and decided to stop and hear the three things God cannot do. They were vendors, a few spots down from us. The dad permitted them to talk to us. The kids were so sweet and right away accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Later, they brought Mom to us and she spoke Portugese and very little English. She was also sweet and conversed with us and accepted Lord Jesus. She spoke her testimony in a video. Praise God for her testimony.
This is a testimony from Columbus Farmers Market in New Jersey. Praise the Lord for new salvations. The Bible tells us to go into all the world, but at events He sends people from other countries to the SOS Events booth.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Personal Witnessing
June 7, 2016Events are a great place to win people to the Lord and the focus of SOS Events ministry, but we must not neglect personal witnessing as well.
Yesterday, Carolyn Curtis had an opportunity to witness and lead a serviceman to the Lord. Carlos came to find out why her tv was not working correctly. When he finished, she asked him if he knew the 3 Things God Can Not Do, and he said, “no”.
She handed him a “3 Things” tract and went through it with him including the “ABC’s”. (If you do not know the 3 things go to SOS home page and scroll down)
Carlos prayed, and accepted Jesus as his Savior.
It is so important to take advantage of every opportunity to tell someone about Jesus. You may be the only Christian that a person comes in contact with. Allow the Holy Spirit to direct you to lost people and fill you with boldness and power to witness.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Frustration to Fruitfulness
May 10, 2016Frustration!! Tom waiting, waiting and waiting for discharge from the hospital. A special doctor had to be called and he was not there.
Previously Tom and Carolyn gave one of the nurses named Judy a copy of the booth they authored “101 Salvation Stories.” She was a special nurse who really cared for her patients. She stopped in to see Tom in the morning to tell him that she was halfway through the book already and intended to read the rest on her day off.
Time for a shift change in the evening and that doctor had still not come. Judy came into the room to say goodbye to Tom and Carolyn because she would not see them again after his discharge. She said, “I want to be one of your stories. Can you save me?”
We know it is Jesus who does the saving but Tom held her hand and prayed with her. She accepted Jesus and was so happy. What joy on the face of that young woman. “Now I am one of your stories,” she said.
She walked out of the room just as the doctor walked in. Miracles still happen and God’s timing is always right. We as Christian need to remember He has a plan and purpose and the Holy Spirit is never late.

Alabama Salvation Story
March 14, 2016We had a lady, Sam, gain assurance of her salvation at the recent SOS personal witnessing training at the end of the Jonah Bible Study at Eastmont a couple of weeks ago. Lynda Coley, a trained SOS volunteer, led her in that assurance and in documenting it. The lady made the decision to get baptized because of the assurance and when Jeremy Lynch went to talk with her about the baptism, he ended up leading her husband, Dale, to Christ!! Now he is getting baptized with his wife this Sunday!! They will have several rows of family there to watch the baptisms which means more chances for her the rest of her family and friends to come to Christ or rededicate their lives. Sam’s sister’s name is Suzanne and her parents names are David & Gladys.
SOS Events has many stories similar to this one. God uses various things to bring people to salvation. Training, events, personal witnessing and visitation are all things that are taught by SOS Events. All the praise belongs to the Lord. He is the One who saves. We are His witnesses and He brings the increase.
1 Corinthians 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
A Wise Man
March 13, 2016Tom Curtis is a wise man for he is always looking for people to win to Christ. He has had 3 surgeries since October but as usual his goal is to witness especially in the hospital. Last evening he had the joy of leading Alden to Jesus. Please keep Tom in your prayers for complete healing of his left leg.

Parking Lot Salvation
January 29, 2016Quite frequently Tom will wait in the car while Carolyn goes shopping. Always looking for someone to witness to, Tom saw a young man collecting the grocery carts to take them inside. Tom called him over to the car.
Tom was going to hand him my tract, and decided to carry on the conversation a little longer. Tom asked the young man whose name is Christian if he was 50, 75, or 100% sure he was on his way to heaven.
Christian said, “I am not sure at all.”
Tom then proceeded to lead Christian into the plan of salvation and Christian gladly accepted the Lord. All of this took place in less than five minutes.
Usually when a person is working handing them tract is all that should be done because we would not want anyone to have a problem with their employer. But Christian was working outside that day and the conversation was very short.
Tom did not get Christian’s full address because of the time but did get his phone number and will follow up.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Little Children

Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
SOS Events has many events where children make decisions for Christ. One of the testimonies from a 7 year old little girl, written on the back of her decision card:
“I asked Jesus to come into my heart and forgive me for my sins.”
Children many times understand and accept Jesus because they have unwavering faith.
Nicky
November 7, 2015 
This is a photo of Tom Curtis and Nicky, Tom’s physical therapist. Nicky comes to help Tom recover from his surgery. Yesterday, Nicky asked Jesus to be his Savior.
He had been reading his Bible especially Revelation. He wanted to know more and the first thing Tom told him was the 3 Things God Can Not Do. Then explained the gospel and Nicky was excited to invite Jesus to be his Savior.
Sometimes in life things can be difficult (like a long recovery from surgery) but God uses that very situation to bring people to Himself. Nicky, along with several others may not have had the opportunity to accept Chirst if Tom had not needed home health care to help with his recovery. No one comes in to contact with Tom without being witnessed to and every doctor, nurse, lab worker, house cleaner heard about the Lord when he was in the hospital.
God tells us to be witnesses whatever the circumstances and He will give the increase.
