For most of us Christmas is over, the presents have been unwrapped, the family has departed, the feasting is done. It may be a time when a feeling of disappointment or sadness has replaced the expectation that you felt just yesterday.
Now is the time to remember that the blessings of Christmas did not end with the birth of Jesus. That was just the beginning.
Mary and Joseph took Him to the temple, when He was 8 days old. They met a old man named Simeon who would not see death until he saw the Messiah. When he held baby Jesus he knew that
Jesus was One who the Holy Spirit had promised. Simeon said in Luke 2:30 “For mine eyes have seen thy salvation.”
Today be encouraged, Jesus came to bring us salvation and give us joy and peace in our hearts.

Encouragement from Simeon
December 26, 2013The Shepherds
December 23, 2013Shepherds were just ordinary people, doing a lowly job, keeping watch over sheep. Why them? The greatest message of all time and God chose the average working man to hear the good news.
God is not a respecter of persons. Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords came to all people regardless of position, prosperity or power.
The angel gave this message to the shepherds.
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Receive the greatest gift
December 8, 2013The greatest gift ever given was Jesus. To receive it, invite Him into your heart today. Ask Him to forgive your sins and make your life new.
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Why many people do not love God
November 30, 2013Why people do not love God.
Evil has come in and taken control of the hearts and minds of the unsaved. There are over 5000 places where you can evangelize and give the plan of salvation. A place to tell others about Jesus Christ. SOS Events ministries can help you find a location in your area, and with proper instruction YOU can bring some of these unsaved into the family of God and bring joy to The Lord.
Salvation at Chic-fil-A
November 14, 2013Tom and Carolyn stopped for a meal at Chick-fil-A.
While returning the trays, Tom noticed a young couple that were having a heated discussion.
He gave them a Bible track and then sat down and asked them if they knew the “three things God cannot do.”
Tom asked the question, “Are you 50, 75 or one hundred percent sure if you died today you go to heaven?”
The girl, Megan, said, “I’m hundred percent sure.”
But Brian said, “I’m not even 50% sure.”
Tom then ask him if he would like to be 100% sure.
He said, “Yes,” and the four of them held hands and Brian prayed out loud the prayer to receive Christ as his Savior.
Megan was so happy after that and when Tom and Carolyn left the restaurant the couple were holding hands and smiling at one another.
Their heated discussion was about the matter of his salvation, so this was an appointed time by God.
God puts Christians at the right place, at the right time, IF we are looking for opportunities to witness.
Thank you for your prayers
October 26, 2013Thanks to you who are praying for events this weekend. Several were saved at Harvest Hayride in New Jersey last night. Also, Tom and Carolyn Curtis spoke in chapel yesterday morning and 7 children asked Jesus to come into their hearts so they could have 2 birthdays. (The fist birth is physical, the second spiritual)
Two Salvations
September 21, 2013SOS Events is blessed to have many people donate items to the ministry. Every gift is appreciated. Sometimes there are things we cannot use or those things get replaced by newer items.
Then our storage shed gets cluttered and overcrowded.
Not to far from our property is a Hispanic family who sell used items. Tom stopped to see them and offered all of our accumulated items to them if they would come and get them.
A few minutes later a truck pulled into the yard and 2 men got out. They had come to get the things we were giving to them.
Along with some printers, phones, monitors and other items was a vinyl cutting machine. Carlos asked, “What does that machine do?”
On a shelf were some signs that had been made using the machine and I took one down to show him.
He was amazed. “It’s Spanish,” he said.
While he and his cousin loaded the rest of the items, I quickly went into the office to get 2 Spanish tracts to give to the men.
When they were given the tracts, both started to read them. Tom and I explained the 3 Things God Can Not Do, and both Carlos and Antonio prayed and ask Jesus into their hearts.
We then got their full names, addresses and they will be sent Bible studies in Spanish so they can grow in The Lord.
We try to witness every opportunity that God gives us and God gives the increase. It’s a joy to be a witness.

August 23, 2013Eternity
August 4, 2013Eternity is too long to be wrong. Are you 50, 75, or 100% sure if you died today you would go to Heaven?
Today is the day of salvation. Invite Jesus into your heart today. He died on the cross, was buried and on the 3rd day rose again. He did that for you personally.
