Today, the largest event that the Florida SOS Events Team participates in begins. For the next 11 days volunteers will be at booth 58 for the 22nd year. Over five thousand people have been saved at this event in those years. Praise the Lord!
Please pray for this year to be one of the best. Pray for our volunteers, the people who pass by to be interested and receptive when they hear the gospel.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
Last evening the SOS Events office staff had the privilege of attending the Annual Strawberry Festival dinner in Plant City, Florida.
The Strawberry Queen and her Court stopped by our table to welcome us to the Festival. This is the 22nd year that SOS Events has had a booth at this event which is the biggest festival in Florida with over 600,000 people attending last year.
Please pray for the many people that will walk by the SOS Events booth, that they will have hearts that are hungry to hear God’s Word and they will be saved.
Pray for our volunteers that give of their time. Some of them have health problems but still come to volunteer because they want to see people come to the LORD.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3&4
People from many nations read the blog on the SOS Events website.
Please pray that the brothers and sisters in Christ are encouraged. Some of them may be going through trials that we cannot even imagine.
Every day people from Nations that we are not aware of read God’s Word. Over 100 Countries are represented.
They may be fellow Christians or are searching for the true Savior.
Pray for the people who are searching for the truth. They have opportunity to be saved by reading scripture and Bible studies that are available to them through SOS Events website.
SOS Events is blessed to have faithful volunteers who go to the Plant City Flea Market in Florida every Wednesday, weather permitting.
This week over 20 people accepted Jesus as their Savior. Most of the people are Hispanic and speak Spanish.
Thankfully there are a few volunteers who speak Spanish but more bilingual workers are needed.
February and March are the busiest time of the year in Florida and we need more volunteers to help us at these upcoming events.
Please pray with us that all the needs of the ministry are met.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:38
1 Timothy 5:17 – Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine

December. The busiest month of the year for most people.
Christmas, Hanukkah, and other important events like birthdays or anniversaries take place this month.
We get so busy that we forget the most important thing. That is time for God. He sent his son, Jesus so that everyone has opportunity to accept him and have eternal life.
So today, the first Sunday of the year, let us decide to put Jesus first by starting everyday with Bible reading and prayer.
