Joy and sadness In Alabama!

April 17, 2023
Mark 11:24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Last night at the Clay County Fair in Ashland 3 young ladies ages 14,14 and 16 gave their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Oh how the Angels rejoice over souls being saved.

As I watched them walk away my heart was heavy at the world they are having to grow up in and how hard it is to shine your light for all to see with so much darkness. I have to know God has His hand on them and will see them through .

As I write this post this afternoon I am heartbroken over the senseless loss of life at a birthday party for a 16 year old last night in a small town just down the road from us that took the lives of 4 teens and injured so many more.

I know this is not my usual after an event post but I just pray that every one reading this and their kids have made Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of their lives because we truly don’t know if we’ll have another opportunity to tell them that Jesus is our only hope.

Beth and Wes Walker are Team Leader in Alabama. They oversee many of the events in Alabama. This report was was written by them this weekend.

SOS Events is thrilled about the souls that are saved at events, but at the same time we grieve over the evil events in our country that take the lives of our children.

Our Country needs prayer. SOS Events need prayer for our staff, team leaders and volunteers. Please pray for more people to be saved. We can change America one soul at a time.

Pray For SOS Events!

March 1, 2023
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:13

Strawberry Festival starts tomorrow. This is the largest and longest event for the Florida team. Twelve hours a day for eleven days.

You can be a part of bringing people to the Savior by praying.

Prayer for our volunteers, (we need every time slot filled). Our enemy will try to discourage them from working at the booth.

Pray for the people that come to the Festival that their hearts will be prepared to listen to the Gospel and accept Jesus as their Savior.

Pray that the ones who do accept Jesus will continue to follow Him.

Most people cannot go away from their home base but everyone can support missions by going to conferences, praying and giving.

God’s Word tells us to go into all the world to tell people about Jesus.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

A Cup of Coffee!

February 3, 2023

Most of us start our day with a cup of coffee. The most important way to start our mornings though, is to spend it with Jesus. We must not neglect to read His Word and pray. That is a perfect way to start our day along with the coffee.

Psalms 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Little Things

January 7, 2023
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Little things. Are you concerned about little things? Maybe it is something you have misplaced and it is really bothering you.

Wondering what to wear or worried about a conversation you are going to have with a loved one or friend. All these daily little things that get in the way of the important things.

Worry is a sin. The Bible tells us to cast our care upon the Lord. Does He care about the little things? Yes. Nothing is too small for Him to help you with, pray about everything.

Pastor Jonathan Watson with his family.

Five questions to ask yourself when studying God’s Word from Pastor Jonathan Watson in Appomattox, VA:

“Simple questions I try to ask myself every time I study God’s Word.”

– Is there a sin I need to confess?

– Is there a promise I can claim?

– Is there an attitude I need to change?

– Is there a command I need to obey?

– Is there an example I can follow?

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
